Prior to this desk, I had a big, lunky desk with a hutch on it. Purchasing this desk has helped me save space in the room that it's in as well as reduce the amount of dust that collects in my computer. I'm pleasantly surprised at the durability and sleek look of the desk top pieces. The instructions were picture only, but if you've ever put together Legos, then you should be able to put together this desk pretty easily. They give you everything you need to assemble it, from screws to Allen wrench. You assemble it upside down, for easy access to the metal pieces, and once you're done, you can just flip it over as it's very light. I assembled it myself with no help, so two people are not required. The metal pieces that make up the legs are put together in a way that gives it a very strong and secure feel, and I like the fact that the metal parts of the legs slant away from the desk towards the floor, so you don't bang your knees into them at all when sitting at the desk. It's very sturdy, with no wobble to the desk itself. The monitor panel wobbles slightly, but that's because the metal U-shaped piece that secures the panel to the desk probably isn't long enough. If they made the U-piece longer it probably wouldn't wobble at all. The wobbling only happens if I physically try to shake the desk though, so normal use will not make it wobble. You can place the monitor stand on either side of the desk according to your preference. This desk sits nicely in the corner, so I've got way more space than I used to in the room it's in. I was able to put my desktop tower on top of the desk, so it won't collect as much dust as being on the floor. I'm just really impressed with the quality and ease of use of this desk for what I paid for it (it was on sale). My old desk cost hundreds of dollars and was not as good as this desk is. ... show more

The desk was easy to put together, it took my 15 year old about 30min and he did it by himself. Great quality for the price and its actually very sturdy which is something I was worried about. I think it will hold up for quite some time! Love the little side pocket that hooks on to hold extra stuff. Only complaint is one of the boards was broken as shown in attached photo.     • It may not be a solid oak castle, but it is a fantastic product.
First off, this thing was incredibly reasonable to put together. With that being said you DO have to put it together. The instructions may leave something to be desired, but to be honest you could probably assemble it without even looking at the instructions. It's pretty darn straight forward in that regard. I found it really lends itself to an enthusiast/professionals workload(s), and even has a nice little basket it comes with to hang off the side of it to stick various paperwork/screwdrivers/even an entire laptop. No, this thing isn't the sturdiest thing on the planet. However I don't think one should expect it to be. It's a fairly large desk that comes in a flat box that you order on the internet. For the price, and what it is, I find it to be perfect. Now when I say it isn't sturdy, that doesn't mean it won't support all your equipment. It has no problem dealing with 3 large monitors, 2 heavy studio speakers, and I even built a small shelf off of the side of it. What I mean by not sturdy is that it can definitely shake a bit depending on where it's placed/what's going on. But with that being said, it doesn't shake to the point where I would ever worry about it collapsing or failing in any way. It's just not a giant solid oak desk is all. I have had this desk for going on I think about 4 years now (probably a little late to be writing a review but im satisfied with what I got), its a little wobbly now but has held up really well from all the stuff ive put it through, im suprised it hasnt snapped in half at this point and I dont see myself getting another desk for a while longer. ... show more
