We had no trouble with assembly; daughter & I put together for my grand daughter. I do highly recommend the guardrail teething edge protectors, the material padded ones, they are cheap and worth every penny. By 14 months this child has stripped pink wallpaper from adjacent cabinets, chewed the edges of the crib, like a puppy....the clear self sticking silicone edges looked pretty for a few weeks, then she had them pulling off and chewed. And yeees she has a multitude of toys and teething gadgets. Anyway, this crib has taken a surprising amount of jumping & abuse and is still sturdy. I look forward to the toddler bed part and removing the pool noodles from legs. Bottom line, it has contained the little feisty one and remained sturdy & pretty during this process. Wasn't hard for my husband to put together alone in less than 30 mins. Crib is gorgeous, and a very DARK navy blue. If you want the blue to be more noticeable, make sure you have the crib opposite a lot of natural light, have very bright, white overhead lighting, and/or have a floor lamp nearby. Crib is made out of solid wood. Very easy to assemble. Simple instruction book. Neatly packaged hardware. Packaged well so it came without any damage. Crib is very sturdy, but also easy to move around. I’m highly satisfied with this piece and look forward to having our little one use it.

Beautiful crib and very sturdy. The only negative thing we found was that the pre drilled holes in one of the side rails was misaligned, so we had to drill new holes ourselves.

Got the mini crib first for my new born but she grew so quickly that we had to switch to this at 3 months. It’s roomy. It’s scratches after time but that’s normal. You have the option to lower it.     • Strong Adhesive Smell

At first, I thought this adhesive smell would go away - and I was right! After a few weeks, it did go away. If you purchase this, open it up right away and air it out weeks before you need it (if you can). I set it up on the day of birth and this crib we couldn't use for three weeks. The whole room and upstairs smelled of this chemical odor which I think is some kind of adhesive. Once that passed things got better, summer came along with open windows. Now, we have had a few cooler days with the windows closed....Guess what...the smell is back. At this point, I don't know what it is. It's not as strong as it was out of the box but we are going to get a new crib at this point out of an abundance of caution. Everything else is nice (except the install is tricky and cumbersome). Looks great, but doesn't smell great. Update as of 10/25 - The strong adhesive smell will not go away. Changed rating to one star. We are disassembling this crib this week and THROWING IT OUT! (Not going to try and resell knowing this smell is an issue.) Completely displeased by the smell from the adhesive from the headboard. I would strongly advise anyone to NOT purchase it unless you want your baby smelling fumes. Completely upset and disappointed that we had to come to this as we really liked the look and the structural quality of this but it's not worth thinking that our child is breathing in adhesive fumes all night. ... show more
