  • These tires are a Beast!
Size: 26/12-12
It had been 7 years and with my Hustler Super Z mower and I never gave alot of thought to changing the rear OEM tires. It was time for a full service and I decided to bite the bullet and replace the tires. Carlisle is a high quality tire and most of the mower shops will tell you to pay a little extra versus replacing with stock OEM. After the first week I can tell you that these tires have made a huge difference, especially on side hills. Hills that used to freak me out are no longer an issue. These grip with no problem and I'm not seeing any tearing of the grass. Normal flat operation has been good as well with little tearing of the turf. That was my major concern when I first looked at the tread design of this tire. Passes with flying colors. I have also noticed a cushier ride over bumps since I made the replacement. Do you need a new set of $300+ tires? Depends. If you are just mowing a completely flat lot, probably not. If you have hilly terrain, these are way to go. Have me wondering why I waited so long. You won't be disappointed and you'll feel a whoel lot safer with these. ... show more

  • Traction ++
Size: 24/12-12
Purchased these for my John Deere X590 tractor. First of all they are the exact same tires that the dealer quoted me a price of $244 each. Got them here and saved over $100 per tire. Secondly, they grip so well that I can mow my steep hill without the rear wheels spinning. And I no longer have to engage the transaxle to get up that hill. Finally and a word of CAUTION! Don't mow if your lawn is wet or you'll regret it as these tires will grip & rip . Great tires at an awesome price. Excellent value! ... show more

  • Excellent upgrade from stock tires
Size: AT25/13-9
These tires are slightly oversized for the application (mounted on Honda ATC 200ES machines), as I could only get 25x13x9 to replace the stock 25x12x9 tires, but they fit with about 2MM clearance on each side of the front forks. Rear tires have plenty of clearance all around. First, the weight of these tires is about 3x the originals, and the thickness of both sidewall and tread base is substantially greater than the originals as well. Considering that the original tires held up for about 30 years (yeah, they needed replacing for a while!) over all kinds of terrain, I am hopeful these will stand the test of time. Also of note, I treat all my tires with 303 Protectant, and this extends the life of any tire dramatically in terms of weathering (e.g., dry rot). As such, YMMV. I don't have a before photo of the old tires, but one of the machines has stock-sized tire (mounted about 13 years ago) in the rear, and you can see that the new tires are significantly bigger. I was expecting them to be an inch wider than the old ones, but they are also somewhat taller. Mounted them myself, which was an incredible PITA, and very challenging compared to more conventional (skinnier and larger rim size) four-wheeler tires. I recommend having a tire shop do it! Well worth the typical mounting price ($20-25 per tire around here). They make for a smooth, quiet ride with excellent shock absorption at about 7 PSI. I only installed them a week ago, but well worth the price. Made in the USA. ... show more

  • Works great on hills
Size: AT22/10-8
These were on my John Deere Gator and I added to my Grasshopper mower. 15-18 degree slope and these made a big improvement in how much i could cut. I run about 7 lbs pressure and check for proper pressure on all before mowing.
