  • Quality, fierce, size down
Size: Small Tall Color: Black
They're as flattering as leggings but tough enough for hard work, for real. I've waited a few weeks to review until I could really see what they're made of, and I'm impressed. The pockets are thick enough to hold my wrench, snips, and any other tools that will comfortably fit. The side loop is strong and can hold a tool from a carabiner. I'm curious to try another color! 5'9" 145 usually a medium but got small tall ... show more

  • Great Chore Leggings once you find your right size
Size: X-Small Color: Black
Waist 27, hips 35, inseam 29-30. Both the small and x-small in regular and short lengths work ok in the midweight and lightweight for me. Xs short is my preferred size because they completely stay in place once they’re on; small short is fine but a little roomier after I’ve been moving a bit; regular length, I have to bunch at the knee or ankle. They both will stretch but not a ton. I was needing pants that would fair well to outside work and do well around animals and have enough room for my phone. I’m currently clearing trails with a blower and mix of saws and cutting briar vines. Women's jeans have such shallow pockets that my phone kept falling out. Both the lightweight and midweight Carhartts have proven durable and comfortable, both with plenty of phone pocket room. It’s a little more than challenging to find your right size, but it is totally worth the frustration. Hopefully, this review will make it a little easier for you. The midweight have darted patches over the knees. If these patches don’t line up, you can’t bend your knee. I’m a 29-30 inseam, so for the midweight, I need a short length. If you get the wrong length in the midweight, you have to bunch the fabric at the knee, not the ankle. Altering the midweight length will not work; the lightweight don’t have this issue. Because they don’t have patches, the regular length in the lightweight just means a little extra material at my ankle that will go in my boots. The lightweight material is a little stretchier than the midweight material. The material on both at the calves is not forgiving and a little tight. (I do have athletic calves). Going up a size, gives you a little more room in the calf area, but just a little. Both are a little difficult to first get in to but feel great once they are on. For field or barn work, both are great- the midweight is a little more durable but hotter. The midweight are fine up to about 75-80 degrees outside; otherwise use the lightweight. For office work, the midweight could look appropriate with boots but not the lightweight. Seams on the lightweight run on the sides and look more like a workout legging. I hike and run but would not recommend either of these for that. Use them for what they are made for- outdoor chore leggings. Pockets are different in all of the styles. The midweight have front and back full pockets and a small side pocket. The lightweight have a right side zippered pocket and double pocket on the left side that I use for my phone. The lightweight ankle are a 27” stretched inseam and have no zipper but pockets on both sides (go with these if you are petite). I hope this review helps someone. These really are great leggings. ... show more

  • Great pants!
Size: Large Color: Black
I love the feel of these pants, the way they fit and the sturdiness and stretch of the fabric. I have a size large that fits great other than the waist is large. I also have a size medium that fits great and the waist is a bit snug. I'm somewhat in between both sizes but I still love these pants!

  • Little boy mom approved. I love these!
Size: Medium Color: Black
I'm an active on the go mom of 5, with the youngest two of them, 2 and 4 yr old boys who are FAST. I love the comfort of leggings/yoga pants, but need the pockets for out and about, so my hands are free to hang onto kids, and not have a purse that the kids are going to try to strangle me with. I HATE cargo pants. I can't find any in womens or mens that fit comfortably. I think for most women, we do all feel bloated and heavy at some point, and the last thing you want is something tight and heavy to wear. That's why I love these. My brother saw them in a store and sent me a picture joking that he found the perfect pants for me. He was right!! I immedietly found them on Amazon and bought the lightforce version first to see if I like them before buying the more expensive heavier duty pair. I've never been a Carhartt fan. My hubby got a few handme down jackets from his dad and when they wore out, he didn't replace with another Carhartt b/c of the price. He has some Carhartt pants, again, second hand, too expensive when you have 5 kids, and they have held up but they are so stiff. We have picked up second hand CH stuff for our kids, but my older kids weren't fans of it. ANyway. Back to these AMAZING pants. These arrived Saturday morning. I put them on and wore them all day. It was mid 70s and I wasn't too hot or too cold. I wore them around the house doing all the mom stuff to catch up on the weekend, and to a dinner party that concluded with a boat ride around the lake. I even carried my car key in the zipper pocket and it didn't look awful. But it is just my 1 key, on a small key ring, with my gym scan tag and a small carabiner. I took them off that night and though I usually avoid yoga pants with wide elastic, these weren't too bad. The elastic did roll a little a few times but it didn't twist up become a pain to fix- I HATE THAT. I'm 5'6, 150-155ish lbs. I have short legs, and pretty thick thighs and these were so comfortable. I was afraid they'd be too long- most reg, length pants are, and tight on my thighs, they weren't. I wore them the next day to church, and I NEVER wear leggins 2 days in a row b/c they start getting stretched out and baggy around the waist. I wore them around the house after church too , I usually have to change out of of my "nice" clothes after church b/c they're uncomfortable. But I didn't this time. I actually snagged my leg on a protruding screw sticking thru something and have about a 2" scratch on my leg- it wasn't deep enough to bleed but it's a really red and still tender this morning. I knew for sure that I had ruined my new leggings, but I couldn't find a hole or snag at all! I am def. buying the heavier duty pair! ... show more

  • Great pant for gardening
Size: 1X Color: Tarmac
Very flexible. Wish there was one more pocket though. Other than that, they work well for me.

  • Constantly slide down, worse over time
Size: Medium Color: Black
Thought they’d work well but seems after each wear they slide down more. A belt would probably make these perfect for working the ranch.
