This thing is so soft and comfortable and so heavy duty that you won’t have to worry about anything. This is a very warm heavyweight hoodie. I’ve worn in temperatures around 40 degrees (with a long sleeved tee underneath). The anti-wind and rain-resistant claims made come with caveats, as they should. Yes the wind doesn't penetrate this hoodie as it would most hoodies. Out for a while in a drizzle, this hoodie will keep you drier than ordinary hoodies, but in heavy rain you’ll get wet and you’d you’ll need serious raincoat. This garment is as warm as some jackets made for cold weather and just as heavy. It is longer than a most hoodies, which helps. Still, it is a hoodie, so taking it on and off is a bit of a chore given its heft. The fabric has a pleasant feel. There is lots of room even if you don’t size up, as some customers do. I’ve washed mine a few times. Has it shrunk? Maybe only a tad if at all. It holds up. It appears to be sturdy and well made, but we’ll see. Carhartts tend to be reliable. After a few months, this appears to be a good value even given the somewhat higher price. ... show more
