I stumbled across this shirt in a local store but they only carried 1 in the size I needed. After some hunting I found them here on Amazon for less. The shirt quality is great! The fabric resists both work wear and home wear with the addition of lots of kitty cats and their claws. After several washes the shirt has retained both its original size and color. It took about 2 washes for the fabric to soften down to a normal level which it has kept since then (a couple of months of wearing the shirt twice a week). Even after a long day at work crawling around on the floor working with wiring the shirt still looks good enough to wear out to a social event. I would describe the overall look as work casual but with good comfort. The sizing feels great. I usually wear a 3X and they have enough room to do whatever I need to do without feeling pinched or tight in any spot or showing the top of my belt line. After getting some 3X size I did purchase some 4X which I have liked better in the super hot weather we have been having. ... show more

All my old t-shirts were getting holes in them and getting ripped at the neck. I knew Carhartt was supposed to be for guys who work harder than I do, but apparently just being me is work, and I wanted shirts that could take a beating. These shirts feel strong and incredibly well made. They hide your belly if you're a big guy and they look sharp, even if you don't care about the logo. I bought these shirts in every color of the rainbow and seeing them there makes me happy every time I open my closet. They don't stain easily, they don't get hung up on stuff, and they have a texture that just feels like quality, all day against your skin. ... show more

I always wear Henley shirts for a more roomy fit around my neck. This shirt, in navy, is made from a heavier material and is very roomy. I liked it so much I have ordered an olive and a burgundy one, I also ordered a long sleeve one on Heather. Buy it, you won’t be disappointed.

The last 20+ years of my career were spent in IT as a developer/project manager. Prior to the COVID-mandated work-from-home event, I was required to wear business attire - suits and ties and that whole thing. Then business casual came along with everything except shorts and jeans allowed. During and after COVID, the mindset of my employer (a major U.S. bank) changed dramatically, and just about anything you were comfortable in and not revealing was permitted. That's when I became a Carhartt t-shirt fanatic. Extremely durable and comfortable. I LOVED this style; the buttoned neck is a bit different than the standard t-shirt. I particularly liked it because I wear a medic-alert dog tag necklace, and this style of shirt makes it more apparent I'm wearing something around my neck, where the standard style t-shirts hid that fact. This is important to me - I take certain prescription drugs that cause me to bleed profusely, so in an accident situation a first responder being able to see my medical needs from my dog tag is pretty important.
