This little car cymbal is my new road rage cure. Every time traffic gets bad, instead of yelling, I give it a tap with a couple of fingers ting! Instant stress relief. Or I tap away on the wheel and crash (not the car) the cymbal along some music at a red light of course. It’s like meditation, but with percussion. Here I am, a lifelong percussionist who had never heard of a car cymbal before. Never! Well geeze Louise, they make just about anything these days, don't they?! This set comes with the car cymbal, two mini wooden drumsticks on a split-ring keychain, and a set of finger castanets. The cymbal is attached to a plastic bracket that allows for mounting to the air vent. The cymbal is made of some kind of flimsy metal, with three rivets for a little sizzle. I got it bent before even getting it mounted to the dashboard, but i popped the dent right back out and got installing. I had to take the mini drumsticks off of the split ring and give them each their own, as I find it much easier to play with a stick in each hand (or at least twirling the sticks around your fingers at stoplights is easier, that much is certain.) The castanets were a nice added touch, but the elastic bands that are supposed to hold the little cymbals to your fingers are tied at a length too big around for fitting any human fingers that I know of. The short elastic bands are tied in such a way that re-tying the loops to a proper size seems near impossible, and I have given up trying. Perhaps I'll fashion them into some sort of quirky lei for hanging from the rearview mirror. The cymbal sound can be a bit tinny, but I hardly expect perfection from an inexpensive car cymbal. I'm just happy that this thing exists. I have a lot of fun with it and my in-town driving has certainly gotten more entertaining! At $19.99 I think this is priced well for a gift and everybody who plays this thing is going to have a good time with it.

The media could not be loaded. These are really cute. I love the symbols that came with it. I went to put them in my car and before I could take a picture unfortunately, my little girl damaged the actual symbol that was attached to the car, but that doesn’t change that I actually love this entire thing. I play music and this idea keeps me from drumming my steering wheel or side of my car!! I also have ADHD and little things like this are very beneficial. I have found thatthere are other ones on Amazon similar to this, and it only comes with just the part that you put in your car to tap on while you’re driving, but this one came with a little keychain drumsticks and then the little finger symbols as well and they are actual brass I’m almost certain because of the sound so I highly recommend this particular brand, because it comes with extra little parts that are well worth choosing over the others as they’re the same price and the quality is great. unfortunately I can’t show you the attachment that goes on the car air vent, because my two-year-old grabbed a hold of it as soon as I put it on there and bent it all to hell, but it is worth it!

These have been a nice "distraction" while at a stop. I enjoy jamming out when cooling down my truck in the hot summer Texas sun! My solo car jam sessions are becoming a mini show now with these to replace my "Air cymbals" especially when jamming to Phil Collins! If you know, you know! 10/10 must buy! Such a value for the price!

Well, I'm not sure what I was expecting, but also this is exactly what I thought it would be? The big cymbal is 5-3/8" in diameter, has three rivers in it, and I assume is made out of pot metal. When hit it sounds just like you would think. It is a silly thing to have in your car that is for sure. The mini key chain sticks are cool, I actually really like the finger cymbals that come with this kit, they are 2-3/16" in diameter. They sound nice actually and they are both close in tune with each other so their beat frequency is not too distracting and most people wouldn't even notice or even know what that is. This gets three stars because I like the finger cymbals and the mini sticks key chain.

The media could not be loaded. This is a lot of fun! I needed a car cymbal like a hole in the head, but I had to admit I'd been wanting one ever since I first saw one. I couldn't rationalize buying one for the longest time, but then I saw this set with the finger cymbals and was sold. Is it practical to play finger cymbals while driving? Of course not! Hand those to the kid in the back seat and make beautiful music together! The tiny drumsticks don't seem overly practical (I enjoy just drumming on my steering wheel, personally.) I do think it would be a cute gift for someone who actually plays drums, though. They could put it on their Keychain. This set did not come with any directions and I could not figure out for the life of me how to attach the cymbals to the vertical air vents, but it was super easy to clip it to the one on top of the dash. This gave it good stability and playability. You can play around with the tightness to find what works best for you. I made my video really quick while stopped for gas on a road trip. It got much easier to play without knocking it around after practice and adjustments. It's a lot of fun, but do put it away if you're not actively playing it because it does make its own music when you go over bumpy roads. It isn't usually very loud, but it could disturb anyone taking a nap in the back. On the other hand, there are times I wanted a nice loud "crash," but couldn't get one to match the intensity of the music I was playing along with. It is definitely a fun toy, but some instructions would have been useful and maybe just a little more volume potential would have pushed this up to 5 stars. Literally nobody needs a car cymbal, but if you read this far you probably want one enough that you will get more than sufficient joy out if this purchase.
