I used these to make some mini cannoli shells, and they worked like a charm! These would have worked to make larger cannoli as well, but my cutter is small. I wondered if 15 would be enough, and it was perfect as I could fit only 7-8 in my deep fryer at once anyhow. You need to remove the shells as soon as they come out of the oil to avoid sticking, so I just worked in small batches making up 15 shells, frying them, then starting over. ... show more

I used these to make cannoli for the first time over the weekend. I found the best trick to be to spray the inside of your dough with non stick pastry spray before you wrap, and they literally slide off the mold. These are the perfect size for a medium size cannoli shell ( 4”) and dishwash great. I had no issues with the shape being manipulated and I used a new pair of needle nose pliers to grip one end and a paper towel to slide my shells off after frying. Good luck !! ... show more

I didn't take any stars of this product because it is probably my own fault, but these are very sharp and cut me on two fingers. I was bleeding on the dough and had to throw some away. I was having trouble removing the shell and in the process the end of the tube just sliced through my skin. So sharp I didn't feel it and had no idea what I cut my finger on until I moved on to the next one and cut a different finger. If I make them again I will try spraying with non stick spray. Just thought it was worth a mention, especially if children are helping with these. ... show more
