Now these shoes don't really have the style of the black Cole Haan loafers and I might have bought them 1/2 size too big because they are a hair loose. Rugged sole and butter soft outer shell make it an excellent New England shoe for walking the campus parkinglot and up to my office. My flat feet don't lie. Wow are these shoes well made, my husband loved them he said they were so comfortable too. Unfortunately he only got to wear them once to our granddaughter and grandson's graduation( same graduation).

Good looking shoes, they are narrow and fit tight , I can only wear them for a little while then my feet hurt, if they made them in a wide width I would buy them again , as of now I will have to give these away , they are to narrow

Fit well and seam made well

Good shoes

I didn't like these shoes when I first put them on. The inner soles were lumpy and uncomfortable. The more I wore them the first day the stiffness and inner soles felt much better. Now the shoes feel great. They just need some breaking in at first. Don't just try them on and say no. walk in them for a day and you will really like them. The inner soles get very comfortable. The construction feels good. I normally wear a 10.5. These were a bit tight. Now they are a very little bit big. I like the fit because I don't like a tight fit. Tight shoes cause bunions. I do have to use a shoe horn to put them on right now. I think They will loosen up a bit more so I can slip them on. ... show more

Fits Looser Than Expected

I have only had the shoes for a couple of days. I have an 11" foot so ordered a size 11.5. The shoes look good and the quality upon first inspection is satisfactory and or meets expectations. they are a good looking shoe. The color is accurate to the display photos. The side leather material is of good feel, but the top leather is noticeably thinner. I have not purchased a "slip-on" type shoe before so my assessment may not be apples to apples. When I first slipped them on, wearing socks that I generally wear, the fit was noticeably loose. I could slide my foot to the end of the shoe and easily place a finger in the gap behind my heel and the heel of the shoe. I walked around the house with these socks and found that that would not do, it felt like I was wearing slippers (which I don't wear by the way). I the tried them on with some heavy thermal socks. The socks helped the fit considerably, but after walking around the house for a hour or so they began to feel loose, like I needed to reach down and retie by shoe laces (which they did not have). the insole looks impressive, but there not as much cushioning as I expected. This may also contribute to the loose feel. I am concerned that as they are worn in they will loosen up (like most new shoes) and may be too annoying to wear. Some people may like a loose or sloppy feel, and if you do these shoes would be great, if not, try a smaller size or different brand where the leather is thicker. I am 6' - 170lbs so rather average. The brand I am sure is good, however I am giving them a 3-star due to the size issue and the low comfort insole of this particular pair of shoes. ... show more
