When I read that this tie was polyester I was a bit surprised. I think of Calvin Klein as a premium designer and thought this would be a silk tie. I have to admit though, it has a nice sheen and a silky feel. The width is perfect for modern formal occasions, while having a classic hip look. The blue is a deep rich navy. The length was perfect for me at 5'10" with broad shoulders and an average build. The tie of course has a tie stay/loop on the back of the main tie. I also like that recycled materials were used, and could be made into something of quality and style. If the price was lower than 70$ (day of review) a five star tie, but at that price point it is too high not to be real silk.

This tie is nicely and subtly textured in silk. Its sheen is also subtle and understated but present. It’s got enough structure to tie nicely in several different types of knots. It is on the thinner side which is fashionable but might not be suited to a larger or broader body type. The color and style are still conservative enough for any occasion without looking old fashioned. It’s a good solid piece that every man could use in his wardrobe.

This is a rather nice Calvin Klein tie, and yes, it is a 'slim' or narrow tie. Interestingly, it's made from recycled polyester and recycled acetate!!! The widest portion of the tie is 2 1/2" which looks fine on me but I've got a smaller chest size (38" - not a big guy) so I'm not sure if the narrow tie would look different on a bigger guy. Not sure how the proportions change in this situation. Also of note is that the blue tie that I ordered is definitely a 'navy' tie. In the product description, I thought the blue was lighter. Of course different computer monitors and screens make colors appear differently, so you can never be exactly sure of color hue or tint. I'm not at all disappointed with this!!! Recommended!

This is a sliiiim tie. Expect slimness. Overall, a nice little tie! It feels pretty premium, which I supposed matches that price. Eek. As a person with few ties that has placed finger pads on many while shopping, I can say it feels pretty darn durable. It has a little shine to it when moving around, that the pictures can't show off. Not a ton to say. The price is alright, I THINK I've seen this tie for a bit more in big department stores. I'm not 100 percent on that. Overall, I'd recommend!

I ordered this in the dark red color. It has a nice color shift effect depending on viewing angle, that makes it look darker overall. The material feels pretty nice, but not amazing. It's made of polyester and acetate rather than silk, so the price seems a little steep considering. I own a lot of ties of varying quality (from no name brand to Brooks Brothers), this one is on the nicer side of mid pack.
