My is tall and he needed an extra long tie for our daughter's wedding, we chose this one. Pretty tie but a little pricey. It was only 1 1/2 inches longer than his others.

Nice tie. Expected a darker Navy blue. Read one review that said it is almost black before I bought it. Not even close. More a lighter "Air Force" looking darker blue. Still a nice tie. I'll keep it.

I know skinny ties seem to be all the rage right now, but this isn't one of them. It's not a wide tie, but it's wider than all the skinny ties in my closet. And I'm happy with that. I ordered the navy plaid version, and I'm happy with the coloring. The navy is dark, almost black. Just FYI. And the plaid markings are fainter than they appear in the picture. From afar, this tie will look navy or black. It won't be until you're within 15 feet or so before you'll be able to see the plaid. I wish the colors were a bit more pronounced, hence the minus-1 on my rating. Otherwise, the tie is well-made and looks really nice with my light blue dress shirts. ... show more

The tie came well packaged in plastic and on cardstock, but still was wrinkled enough it needs pressing. It is a 63 inch XL tie, which has an attractive cross stripe pattern that is a combination of a royal blue and silver. I normally tie a double Windsor knot (symmetrical) and this tie can accommodate that and still have a reasonable tail length.
