Bad quality control - top teared

I have owned more than 30 pairs of Calvin Klein dress shoes, and they have all been durable and well-made - except for this one. To start, this particular pair looks fantastic and modern. I originally ordered a size 12, but received a 11.5. Fortunately, it still fits fine because the front of this CK style is wider than the classic models. The issue, again, is quality. The right tip of the shoe started to split after just four days of use. I wasn’t doing anything strenuous - just walking from the parking garage to my office. None of my other Calvin Klein shoes have ever done this. Typically, I get about four months of wear before the soles wear out, but this is the first time I have experienced the upper material splitting so quickly - FOUR DAYS!!!! It may be a quality control issue with this particular style (Jameson), or I may have just been unlucky. That said, I haven’t bothered to return them. I’m planning to glue the split and see how long I can continue using them. I do really want to like this pair, especially given how easy they are to slip on without dealing with a shoe tongue.
