This is a chic/classy tie. The tie is slimmer and is more of a modern look. It has some texture to it and appears to vary between dark blue and black depending on how it catches the light (it is solid blue). I returned the item and was ordered a replacement by Amazon. When the replacement arrived, it also was missing the tie bar!
