I got this pair first, and then also the white one. First you see what they look like with straight bottom. They become longer after being ironed, out of the package. I'm 5'10", so it is an acceptable length. However, It's still a little short for me, when I walk and move around and I found them not very flattering. I had this idea. Purchased a pair of shoelaces in similar color; cut a small hole on the 'wrong' side of the bottom of each pant leg so that it is between the very bottom and the horizontal seam, and then I threaded a shoelace in each, to tie them around the ankle. And these pants become what you see on the last picture, with a tie on the outer side of the leg. This style is more attractive to me, and works better with this garment for my height. I did the same with the white pair. And I wear both frequently. I haven't had a chance to wash them yet, since I wear them gently and mostly for walks. I heard from other reviews that these pants shrink and pill. Shrinkage is the bigger worry. I have other linen pants that shrink and stretch with washes and wear. My plan with THESE pants is to iron them while wet after the wash, and stretch them out, then hang-dry. In my experience, this works with clothes that are prone to shrinking. At least for a while. For pilling/fuzz, I keep a fabric-shaving machine. It's been a great help for many years, and there's a great selection of them right here on Amazon. Hope this helps. ... show more

I love these. The are not 100 percent linen but it's actually a good thing. They are soft and comfortable upon arrival and while they do wrinkle, it is not nearly as much as pure linen, but still look like linen. They hit at your REAL WAIST and are not high rise!!!! I wanted a loose fit so I sized up, bit that was a mistake. I put them in the dryer to shrink, which they did, and fit much better. I got in two colors and have bought as a gift I don't know why this is a frequently returned item according to Amazon,. I love them. ... show more

At the first use I had little fabric /fuzz balls in the crotch area! Unable to wear again! Lightweight, not hot, perfect for summer days! Such a bummer it wasn’t durable enough. Otherwise the size, length, and the pockets are perfect! I wish it had been more durable.

Love these pants AND the linen shorts! Not high rise finally!!! I wear a large normally but these do shrink so I bought an extra large and ran it through the washer and the dryer and they fit perfectly. I am 5 ' 10 and 155 lbs and I bought the 32 inch inseam and they are perfect to wear with flip-flops. They were big and too long before washing...they shrink a good bit! ... show more
