I was a little concerned based on some of the neg reviews, but this was the style and size that i wanted to gave it a try. Came in 3 boxes - one came late (not Bush's fault). One had some damaged parts because of the box weight and handling. A few parts were not labeled but could quickly figure out. The complaints about the instructions seem unfounded based on my experience (way better than average). Every page of the instructions has an 800 number to call for any questions, missing or damaged parts. I called the number a couple times and was very pleased with the service. I had to have 3 panels replaced - no questions and fast shipment. Just slows you down if you are in a hurry to finish. I do not like the back panel of the hutch and found it difficult to install anyway (since it needs to go against the wall and attached in the rear bottom piece). Instead, I purchased a couple small L brackets and extra screws from local hardware store to mount the hutch to the desktop surface and leave an open back. I also mounted the hutch on the right side rather than the left which was better for my configuration and was no problem. I believe some comments I read that it was flimsy or needed to drill new holes were more likely due to installation errors and not following instructions. Finally, it wasn't obvious from the listing but this was a direct purchase from Bush on Amazon - no middle man to deal with. ... show more

Loved that Amazon called and asked what day and time we wanted the desk delivered. Husband had no problems putting it together, took about 5-6 hours. The wood grain is rather believable, we have had no problems with scratches but did place shelf liner under printer and scanner. The top drawer has just a slight hitch, needs some lubricant, but the bottom is sturdy and handled an overload of files. The computer hutch worked great, had no problem putting the computer directly in front of it, hooking everything up and then sliding it in. Although we did drill a large hole through the desk rather than running cords down the back. The hutch adds so much storage room and baskets placed on top give even more. Keyboard glides right out and is not flimsy. The only complaint were stickers that were placed on the two glass doors have to be removed with goof off. Overall I am VERY pleased with this desk, for this price range I was skeptical. Will have no problem buying more Bush furniture. ... show more

Our delivery company messed up and left one of the packages out in the rain and then just wrapped some cardboard around the box & delivered it anyway... two weeks later than the other boxes. By the time it got to us, the cardboard was moldy and gross and completely destroyed, but the desk inside was fine! These are packed really well, so even if your delivery guys are rough on them, they come through OK. We did end up with one long piece that was cracked in half - clearly by the delivery company - but all I had to do was send an email and pictures of the box to the manufacturer and they sent a replacement right away. They didn't give me any hassle at all. We didn't have to try to repack the thing & return it. They just sent us a replacement part for the broken piece & that was it. Assembly is easy if you follow the directions. It's sturdy enough for a home office and seems well designed. We needed a large, functional desk to work from home during COVID, but we don't have an office. We had to put it in our living room, which is not ideal, but it's nicer to look at than a lot of office-style desks, so it's OK to have around day in & day out. The doors on the hutch are nice, so you can keep things looking tidy. Overall, highly recommended. ... show more

The furniture looks nice in the photos but this desk is a nightmare to build. Pros: It has plenty of customization. You can put the hutch on either side of the desk. You can arrange thr drawers on either side. The keyboard tray can also go on either side. The wood is thick and sturdy. It overall looks nice.. Cons: none of the screw holes are pre drilled. It is easy to put in screws at the wrong angle and make things look offset. The legs of the desk are very very flimsy and easy to break. The screws for each leg are secured by 2 small screws and one very large screw which I guess is to support weight? In my situation alot of screws were missing. The bumpers were also missing. The hutch does not attach to the desk very sturdy so I have to put it near a wall just incase it falls. I would really suggest you purchase a different desk. For the money, there are much better and sturdier desks out there. ... show more

Remodeled my den and needed to replace a 15 year old wrap around desk that was just a little too big. All of the doors and drawers fit perfectly and it really looked nice after assembly. Didn't want a darker finish so went with a lighter one that compliments my maple plank flooring. Pretty well designed for easy assembly and never had to play around with pieces to get them to fit as with a lot of kit furniture. All holes lined up without any almost line up holes that might require some drilling. Just have to pay close attention to what screws go where because there are some that in the drawings look exactly the same and appear to be the exact same size although some are silver in color and the others are black. Quality kit furniture is something that Bush seems to do well because every piece I have ever bought has been the same way and has lasted. ... show more
