  • It's very sturdy and I feel like this will make it through ...
Color: Hansen Cherry
Really solid desk! It's heavier than I expected, but I totally welcome that surprise. It's very sturdy and I feel like this will make it through quite a few moves with me. The only thing I didn't like was the actual surface of the top piece. Not that there was anything wrong with it, but I'm using this as a gaming desk. So I ended up buying 10 feet of carbon fiber vinyl wrap and it ended up looking AMAZING (see pics). Construction was easy. It only took me about 30 minutes by myself. I would say if you can't lift 80ish pounds easily by yourself, you should definitely get someone to help you lift the top piece onto the frame (that's the last step for assembly). The desk definitely feels like it will hold quite a bit of weight. I have 3 monitors and none of them shake or anything while I type aggressively on my keyboard. As I previously mentioned, I'm using this desk as a gaming station. The surface area is absolutely plentiful. I can fit a lot on the top without worrying about real estate. I highly recommend this desk. Even if you don't like the aesthetic of the top piece, you can spend $20-30 on a vinyl wrap and make it look like however you want. ... show more

  • Freight delivery a pain, but the desk is really nice...
Color: Hansen Cherry
Note: I ordered this from Amazon and they ship freight, not UPS, so you do have to be aware that delivery takes time and isn't the normal UPS service that you might be used to. However, they arrived within a week and were in fine condition. Bush seems to have upgraded the boxes, there is more padding on the end of the box now, protecting them from damage in shipment. They still aren't perfect, a few minor marks, but that happens over time with a desk anyway, nothing to fuss over. Regarding the desk itself, the benefit to the Bush Series C line of furniture is that they make it for years and years. I bought my first Series C desk in 2005, since then I've bought more parts, and the fact that I can STILL get the exact same stuff in 2015 is where the value is. I added this desk and another return on the side to my office, they match the existing stuff perfectly that is 5 years old, and are really darn close to the 10 year old stuff (which honestly has 10 years of wear on it now). Another point... This is not cheap particle board stuff, these desks are HEAVY, over 100lbs, you will need 2 people to move it around. They will last years and years however... ... show more

  • Love this desk - but very heavy
Color: Hansen Cherry
I love this desk. It is simple, large, and great for a home office. I love that you can get extra pieces and expand the desk. I got an extra piece and converted the desk into a large L shaped desk . The desk is very easy to assemble. I used a hammer and a Phillips screwdriver to complete the full assembly of both pieces. Honestly, the hardest part of the entire project was dragging the box in the house and unpacking it. The desk weighs about 130 pounds and comes in a single box. There is really nothing you can grip on the box so be prepared to struggle a little to get it in your house. I think I spent about $400 total to build the L shaped desk (2 items). It was worth every penny. I have three 24" monitors, 2 laptops, an IP phone, and a headset base on my desk. With all of that, I still have plenty of usable space. ... show more

  • Overall a good solid desk
Color: Hansen Cherry
I used to just use a 6ft foldable table with a 4ft foldable table in an L shape at a corner, it gave tons of space and could kick my feet up on the L side, was nice. But then I moved and decided to get something not so cheap looking since at my new place I'd be having clients over. Got this table and it arrived with one small dent on the surface but luckily on the backside that is covered by my monitors. It was all pretty straight forward to assemble, the one tip I'd give is if you're following the instruction manual, it stupidly tells you to put the 4 round foot things on the bottom of the desk AFTER you've assembled the whole thing, making you have to left this 100lb desk up to screw them in. I'd advise putting those in at the first step of the manual. Instructions are pretty clear unless you're not very bright since it doesn't label everything. As for the desk, I have my 30inch primary monitor, my wacom tablet, keyboard, plenty of area for my mouse, a small desktop hutch thing with my 24inch secondary monitor on that, 5.1 speaker system with the bass all on the desk spread out with the wires nicely hidden from view mostly, and room for my macbook and a few other things to be up on it too. The nice thing is theres about 3 inches of space behind the back panel so I could fit my battery power surge in that space and keep it out of view and snake all the plugs to it so only my pc tower is under the desk. Doesn't seem like the surface will scratch easily, has a glossy feel and look so will be easy to clean but it shows every fingerprint smudge ever. That's probably the biggest con about this desk. The only other thing is I wish there was a hole in the back center to put wires through as I have a ton going through just the left side. Overall I recommend this desk highly especially with the free shipping otherwise it'd be another 100 or more to ship this much weight. EDIT: changed from 4 stars to 5 stars 11/18/14 after over a year of use, the glossy finish is actually great and I've realized it's better than other finishes that would scratch easily or go dull. The construction is still solid. Really fantastic desk for the price, highly recommended. ... show more

  • Mega sized desk!
Color: Hansen Cherry
For when you really need surface space. It fits 2X 27" Monitors, and my Thermaltake Tower 900 case, which is the size of a college dorm mini fridge. Seriously, this desk is wonderful. Nice simple construction. Sturdy materials, dense fiber board for the table surface, and cheaper particle board for the legs and privacy back. I could probably stand on this desk and it wouldn't budge. Hardest part was carrying it inside after it was delivered, and then upstairs. Took two people to put the top on, but the rest of the job is easy enough for a single person. I love the colors as well. Now I just need to start buying a bunch of longer cables and cable routing equipment to tidy up the cables on the desk! ... show more
