I purchased two Series A 48W Corner Desk units and two Series A 36W Desks to set up a home office area. I read the reviews of others and and was not surprised when my order arrived. One of the 48W Corner Desk units had shifted significantly during shipping. Upon opening the box much of the Styrofoam packing was broken and there was slight damage to the desktop surface on the right front corner. I chose to keep the desk as is as the damage is out of the way how I have setup the units plus I didn't want to wait for a replace piece and considering the box the original unit came in basically had to be destroyed to open the box, I really had no way to send it back. Assembly was rather straight forward and easily accomplished by myself. I was concerned about getting the desk unit upright after reading another review where the person said it took him three weeks to find a couple of strong people to flip the desk. I am not a strong person and being 60 years old I found the desk easy to flip upright myself. I was very pleased with the second 48W Corner Desk unit as it survived the shipping process with no damage. My biggest suggestion for Bush Business Furniture to spend a little more on the packing materials used for the 48W Corner Desk units. They are very heavy and probably should be shipped laying flat, not on end. The other suggestion is modify how the back corner leg is assembled. After reading another review that said assemblying the back corner leg was shot in the dark I chose not to follow the instructions by not fulling assembling the back leg prior to installing it. Instead I attached the portion of the back leg with the pegs first as this allowed me to see whare the screws needed to go. I then finished the assembly of the back leg by attaching the second piece. This forced the screw holes to line up and made finishing the attachment of the back leg much easier. I did this for both units. The two 35W Desk units both faired well in the shipping and assembly was quite easy. At this time I am happy with the choice I made for my home office space. My only concern now is whether or not I can get the corner desk units out of the office area should I need to move it. I am considering ordering a third 48W Corner Desk unit but have not made that final decision at this time. ... show more

Series A 48W Corner Desk in Hansen Cherry and Galaxy was looking for a large desk that was solid, well constructed, and reasonably priced. I looked over Amazon for a few days and ran across the Bush Furniture line. I liked the finish and the assorted sizes offered by the company. I read the reviews and several mentioned about their desk being damaged in shipping. I was somewhat apprehensive after reading those reviews because I would need two corner units, plus 3 other sizes of their desks to fully outfit my home office. I decided to take the plunge and I orders 2 corner units, a 36”, 48, and 60” desk. I used Amazon prime and I didn't have to pay for shipping. All five desks shipped to my house without any problems - NO DAMAGE. I found the packaging to be very well designed to prevent damage when shipped. All the desks are assembled in the same manner - very straightforward and easy to do. It took me about 45 minutes to do the first corner unit, by myself. The rest of the desks were done in about 30 minutes - the larger desks required help from my wife to get assembled, but it was no big deal. I am VERY HAPPY with purchase. I work as an aerospace contractor for the US Government and my job requires large amounts of flat surfaces to work project plans. The desks from Bush fit the bill - they are rock solid, looks good, and provides the sizes I need to fit my home office. My wife is big on looks and she had to sign off on the desks to put in the home office - she didn't want anything that didn't look good in her house (I just pay the bills and she rules the roost). Needless to say, she approved the purchase and I liked the price- very reasonable for what I put into my office. If you need a desk that is sturdy and looks good, for a reasonable price, look no further - these are the ticket! I am an Amazon affiliate member, but this review is the God's honest truth. I base a lot of my purchasing decisions on the reviews I read on Amazon and this is review was submitted on something I bought and use on a daily basis. I purchase many things through Amazon, but this is my first review as I feel this desk needed to be appreciated. The desk isn't real wood, but is some of the heaviest non wood desks I've seen. The desk arrived in a single very large box. I need to help the FedEx driver with it up the stairs as I don't know anyone that could lift it by themselves. You assemble the table upside down then flip it over once it's all assembled. Very easily doable solo. I did it all by myself and it took about an hour (while also watching Netflix during it). The boards are labeled to match the instructions and hardware is grouped together with other parts you use at the same time. Instructions were easy for me to understand and the pre-drilled holes lined were well fit and aligned properly. Could easily do with just a handheld Phillips. I used a drill for a couple of the long screws, but a handheld for everything else. The desk fits in a corner nicely. Be aware it would be hard to reach the end of the table where the cords go through, but I'm not sure why you would after initial setup. Shelves on the wall would be hard to reach though if they aren't very near the close edges of the desk. I don't have anything on my walls near the desk and I don't reach for the cords, so it's not any issue for me at all. Really happy with the look of the cherry. It looks nice and the particle board (or whatever the material is) is very dense-most dense I've dealt with, so it doesn't feel cheap either.
