I know some reviewers say they were warm down to minus 10, but that's hard to believe unless they were using something to supplement or kept their mitten covered hands in their pockets. These mitts are fairly thin compared to the heavy duty ones you typically find in snowboarding. My girlfriend reported her hands were warm in them. She wore a Burton under glove and stashed a hand warmer in each palm. The temp was high 30's and sunny, with no wind. I have a pair of Burtons I must have bought 15 years ago when I lived near Wisconsin. They are the best mittens ever. I walk my dogs 3 miles every day regardless of weather and it has been cold, windy and snowy so I went looking for Burton mittens again. These were the best I could do. They are more lightweight than my old ones but okay. My old ones are still the best and I love them even though they are starting to show some wear. Really Burton mittens are the best. This has been my favorite purchase for the snowboarding season. These gloves are super comfy and definitely keep my hands warm. They also have the straps that go around your wrist so you don’t have to worry about losing a glove.

    • Numb fingers in less than 30min - not warm mittens!

I was so disappointed in these mittens. I bought them for my daughter to wear walking the dog. She is typically out for 20-30 minutes and it hasn't even been very cold recently (30s,40s). The top part of some of her fingers got so cold they turned numb and white. I had her wear glove liners under the mittens and her fingers were still frozen. I am not sure how these got such great reviews when they don't keep hands warm when your body is in motion and it's not even in very cold weather? Don't waste your money trying these. They may look nice and fit ok, but that's now why you buy mittens. ... show more

These mitts are adequately warm, I have worn them on days between 25 and 35 degrees. they were intended for my Girlfriend but were too large for her. luckily I ordered a pair too small for me so we switched. They seem thin but Burton stuff is very warm.

Aside from the short cuffs that I had to end up tucking inside my jacket rather then over it, they were warm and fit well. Come to think of it, that's (short cuffs) probably why I got snow inside them though towards the end of the day.

Because the reviews said how warm and dry these were, i thought i try them. They are awful thin though and when i looked at the attached label, i saw they are only for mid winter conditions, not extreme cold, which will not work for skiing. They are good quality.
