As someone who wanted a natural, non-greasy moisturizer during pregnancy, I decided to try Burt’s Bees Mama Belly Butter, and I’m so glad I did! First Impressions Right off the bat, I loved that it’s fragrance-free. A lot of belly creams have strong scents that can be overwhelming, especially with pregnancy nausea, but this one is super mild. The texture is thick but not greasy, and it absorbs well into the skin without feeling sticky. Moisture & Comfort I started using this around my second trimester when my belly began stretching more, and it kept my skin feeling soft and hydrated all day. The cocoa, shea, and jojoba butters feel luxurious and really help with that tight, itchy feeling as the skin stretches. Stretch Mark Prevention? While no cream can guarantee you won’t get stretch marks (a lot of that comes down to genetics), I do feel like this helped keep my skin elastic and moisturized, which can definitely reduce their severity.
