I was a little hesitant to get this because of the other negative reviews, but this has been great so far! I'm glad I didn't pay more for a different one that's basically the exact same thing! No strange smells, it fits perfectly, and while they are pretty thin, they're strong enough to support our king sized mattress on top of the wide set metal slats of the bedframe! I suspect some of the bad reviews may be due to user error, so here are some of my tips for this: 1: Make sure you're getting the right size based on measurements! To be fair to the unhappy buyers, the one I bought said it was for a California King but had the measurements for a regular king size listed. I went off that and it was accurate, so make sure you're buying based off the measurements and not the title, which may be a little misleading. 2: I think these will only work on bedframes with slats 12" apart or closer. If your bedframe only has like 3 bars for the whole bed, they're too far apart and this won't help you. You need an actual box spring for bed frames like that. 3: Make sure you lay these down so that the boards run perpendicular to your bed frame slats. So if your bed frame slats run horizontally, lay the pieces of this vertically. That is going to be stronger since it's not one solid piece. 4: While they're strong enough for even weight bearing/distribution, I don't think these could take much direct pressure or shock, so try not to drop them, stand on it on top of the bedframe without the mattress on top, or push too hard on one place between bed frame bars. I think they're made from some kind of wood/resin composite, so they will probably break if too much force is applied directly to one spot between the bars underneath. 5: This probably isn't necessary, but I found it helpful to lay some cardboard down between the bed frame and the bunkie boards to provide a little additional cushion for the boards against the metal slats. I think that further helps stabilize them a bit from underneath and may help prevent breakage from pressure against the bars. I think as long as nothing crazy happens to these in transit and you measure correctly that these work really well for under mattress support for bed frames with enough slats! We just had our mattress on our bedframe and it was sagging because our slats weren't close enough together for good support by itself, but now the mattress doesn't sag between the bedframe bars underneath anymore and feels much more supportive!

I just received this product. I really hope I can send it back. It is not worth it to me. It was for my kids bed. It doesn’t fit and it’s very flimsy. I’m sending it back. Sad and disappointed.

It's good for the money and convenience however its not super durable. Using it for a guest bed or possibly adults it would work fine. For kids that flop down on the bed and stuff probably not so much. Lighter and easier to maneuver than an actual box spring so for my use it was great. Fits width ways on the bed not long ways. My bed was also probably not the best suited as I only have 3 bars so the boards overlap on that middle bar. You dont notice when laying on the memory foam mattress.

First let me say it’s heavy and I’m a fairly strong woman. I bought this for an iron bed. It took a minute and some extra maneuvering but we got it in the metal slats (3 only on the bed top, middle and bottom).
