I thought this was going to be heavy duty thick canvas like and it turned out being a very thin, very light weight piece of plastic. More like a dust cover. The size is large and it did cover a large daybed very well and it probably would protect again a light rain, but it wouldn't withstand and heavy weather conditions for any long period of time. It would be perfect if you just needed to protect against the sun! I returned it and went with a different one i found for less from hear that turned out to be exactly what I was looking for!
