    • Wish I could get the Bont skates I really wanted
I ordered the blue with black wheels. Accidentally used my husband's account...so this is the wife of the account holder. The wheels actually have hints of gold glitter which was a welcome surprise.. I read reviews about sizing problems but still wasn't sure. I am a US womens 10 which usually translates to an EU size 42. They recommend as a US size 10 to order 41 which I did. That was a US size 9 so something is being lost in translation. I returned and bought the 42. Its...snug. I think with wear They may stretch a bit.. I'm nervous to buy the 43 and be disappointed with a skate too big. I've had my eye on Bont prostars for months. I finally had the money and Bont is sold out world wide in my size. I settled for these BTFLs. This skate is for sure a step down but decent for the price point. The wheels rolled very smoothly and were just perfect for outdoor use. The tongue, as others have mentioned, does not cover the foot properly. There needs to be at least an inch more material on either side of the tongue to fit properly down into the skate. Maybe this will shift with further wear. Overall they're pretty comfy but I haven't worn them for extended periods. I will update the review when I do. Ultimately I'm happy with the purchase at only 120 I think they are worth it. Still waiting for bont to re-up their sizes though. UPDATE: so here we are like a year or two later and they are so uncomfortable that it is prevented me from wanting to roller skate. Maybe I have skewed taste since I mainly wear "barefoot" shoes. All my shoes are super wide and I often buy men's instead of women's to accommodate for a wider foot posture. My husband insists that I have not "broken them in". I insist that they are just too small, a poor skate, or that I am incapable of being comfortable in any roller skate. This doesn't happen to me at the roller rink though when I rent the cheap leather skates they have. Don't know but would not buy again. Would buy for my daughter. Fit perfectly and very comfortable. The wheels are a bit loose though so be sure to either have a tool kit with you to tighten them up or get one.

The padding on the back of the inside feels nice, but the toebox is narrower than the rest of the skate. These squeezed my toes and the bone by my big toe so tight, I still felt pain for 2 weeks after trying them on and rolling around my living room for 5 minutes in them. Returned.
