I used to be an avid skater and it’s been a while since I’ve gone to the rink. The skates look exactly like the picture: good quality genuine leather suede and the wheels are pretty. These were fine right out of the box and wearing these skates made it easy to transition back on the floor seamlessly. These wheels offer a smooth ride with a little bit of resistance (hardness is under 90A). I will change my wheels to 90A when I feel more comfortable and confident with my skating. The boot is comfortable and I was able to adjust the truck for maneuverability and the toe stop is also adjustable. To my surprise, a tool for adjusting the truck and toe stop was included in the box (not mentioned in the specs and not made for removing skate wheels). I had ordered a tool for around $7 not knowing that one came in the box, but it can be used take the wheels off so you’ll need to order a separate tool anyway. Overall, it’s a great skate for all types of skaters. I look forward to hours of skating in these. I did a lot of research before buying and these skates hit all the marks that the experts recommended. (I didn’t have the skates and tool with me when I wrote this so I’ll take pictures and will post them shortly.)

The media could not be loaded. I’m not a pro skater by any stretch, but I have been rollin’ for awhile. I have three other pairs from other brands, and while Chaya is still a respectable 2nd, BTFL has totally changed my skate game. I was in love by the time I’d laced up my first boot. 1) Comfort: if I’m not comfy on my skates, I’m screwed. These beauties are very pliable, and will eventually mold to my feet. They have padding where I tend to put the most pressure - until now I’ve been wearing my own ankle protectors, but no need with BTFL. 2) Wheels: these were the tipping point for me ~ I’m going from street/derby style to artistic, and these are exactly what I needed to add some grace to my moves. They’re the perfect width I need for dance, and the rounded edges make transitions so much more intuitive. 3: Heels: I don’t wear skates with heels. I’ve always had derby skates (they usually look like a skate shoe) - I think I thought they were more low key (plus I have fallen arches - heels HURT.) I take it all back. The little adjustment in balance helping all my turns and practice drills look 10x better. This whole brand is great at maintaining a retro feel with understated features that are essential to a quality skate. I have flat feet so I wear insoles, but I’m totally flabbergasted how much these heels in particular have helped my posture. 4) Style: I’ve skated Chaya, Moxi, Bont, and Riddell, and these just win over everything I’ve worn so far. I didn’t realize how beautiful they were until I was already wearing them, but these are genuinely lovely skates. I’m so excited at the adjustable toe stop and the extra ankle support, and the laces are long enough to wrap around through the back loop if I want more stability. BTFL, 12/10. I can’t say enough. Whoever you are, if you’ve looked at these skates more than once, please trust me when I tell you these are IMBECCABLE.

I love these skates. I’m a beginner and they are comfortable, no break needed. I wear a 7-1/2 women’s shoe and the Womens US size 8 fits me perfectly. The wheels are slightly soft so great for outdoors. They look great too.

I’m a beginner/intermediate skater and was looking for good quality & COMFORTABLE skates for daily practice. I started my skating journey with Impala skates (hard vinyl) which were easy on the eyes, but not so much on the feet - I had bad blisters after just two days. That’s when I started looking into Moxy Polly’s, and while they had great reviews, I couldn’t bring myself to pay the $300+ price tag which is when I came across these “knock offs” and I’m SO glad I did! I’ve had them for a couple months now & I can honestly so they’re hands down the most conformable skates I’ve ever slid my feet into. I can roll around for hours day after day and they never lose their comfort. Also love the fact that it comes with an all in one Y-tool, it’s compact enough to toss in my fanny pack in case anything comes loose during a ride. All in all I highly recommend!
