I was helping the mother-of-the-bride with decor set up, clean up, serving cake, etc, so it needed to be comfortable. This was exactly what I needed. I received a couple of compliments on it that day, then received several more when I wore it to church later on. The material is a good thickness - not too sheer - but depending on the color of dress chosen then you might need to wear a slip. I have washed it twice on the delicate cycle (cold water) and hung it to dry. It looks like new and doesn't even need to be ironed!
