I loved these shoes. They look nice and are surprising comfortable for being so thin. I wear them to work everyday and noticed the white fibers tearing at the bend points. Worse yet the soles basically disintegrated. The foam is all torn up and ripped after about 6 months of 5 day work weeks

    • Initial impressions...more like 2 1/2 stars ***UPDATE***

***UPDATED*** So, these shoes are surprisingly comfortable once they break in, and they get a compliment EVERY SINGLE TIME I wear them. The first day with these things on IS a little on the brutal side, but after that, you can actually forget they are even on, they break in so nicely. I still don't exactly have HIGH hopes about the durability of these things, but they have grown on me enough that I have a pair in every color now.....I guess you DO get a second chance to make a first impression. So, I'm nearing the end of my first full day with these shoes, and I gotta say; I don't know what all the hype is about. Granted, it's only been a day, but I'm pretty underwhelmed with these things, and am kinda gobsmacked at the amount of glowing reviews. FIRST off, just upon pulling these things out of the box, I noticed that they are STIFF. Like, are they entirely made of plastic? They are SUPER RIGID. This is why so many of the reviews mention "creases." Of course they are creasing, they are like cardboard. This has led to the second problem, and another contradiction to what I was reading in the reviews. The toe box is NOT "wide," as many reviews stated. The toe box is in fact narrow (look at the damn pictures!) and because the shoe is so rigid, it has been KILLING my toe today. I'm positive that I will have some form of callous or blister on the top of my middle toe. I know that this shoe was cheap, but I was REALLY, REALLY expecting something a LOT softer. This isn't a casual business shoe so much as it's a dress shoe that LOOKS like a casual business shoe. The shoe is not a soft fabric shaped like a dress shoe; thus giving a casual feel with that dressy look, it is a thin veneer of fabric, stretched over a hard shell of a dress shoe. The only saving grace is that they DO, LOOK nice. They LOOK like they would be casual and comfortable, but they are not. I was wearing the Ralph Lauren Vaughn style shoe, almost exclusively, and those are light years ahead of these for about twice the cost. Even the Calvin Klein Kadon/Kellen style is more comfortable than these. I had planned on getting these in multiple colors, but it's back to the drawing board, as I'm pretty unimpressed with these. ... show more
