These dishtowels are of very nice fabric. I ordered teal which turned out to be more green than teal and they are not colorfast. I threw them in with a load of whites and the color bled; the entire load came out with a green tint. So, if you buy them, wash them alone a couple of times in hot water. They also have some sort of sizing that needs to be washed out to improve absorbency. I've washed them about five times and they get better each time. These towels are large, the edges don't curl so they lie flat and they look really nice ... show more

The size is not as described. They are described as the following Life By Cotton 6Pk Plaid Woven Dish Towels, Kitchen Towels 18x28 Black/White. Only 3 are 18x28 and the other 3 are square.

I ordered the navy where the picture showed that the towel was mostly navy stripes with some white. What I received were towels that were mostly white with black stripes. My husband opened and washed them before I saw them, so I’m stuck with them. I didn’t want a lot of white because we get a lot of stains on our kitchen towels and I was hoping a towel that was mostly dark would look better linger. They also don’t absorb well. We didn’t use fabric softer and did wash them, so they should be better than this. ... show more

I bought these because I've been trying to find kitchen towels that would match my dishes, and these go great with them. The first thing I did, after taking them out of the package, was to put them in warm water with distilled white vinegar. I rinsed them out well and then hung them to dry. So these pictures show what they look like after they dried. They hold their shape very well. You can also see the loop at the corner so you can hang them up. These also are great for drying dishes. They're not too thick and not too thin, they're just right. I think I may have found the perfect kitchen towels. I wish this company made a smaller 10" x 12" matching dish cloth, to wash dishes with. Beautiful color and cleans well. Size perfect as described. Appears durable even after i washed and dried it, in the machine. I would gift it and I would also buy again. I had been looking for some full-size kitchen towels for a while. I had been to several specialty stores (cutlery and kitchen ware) in town recently, and although I would find some nice towels, the price was often ranging $20-$30 for a set of 4. That seemed a bit pricey to me. I wanted to be sure the towels weren't terry-cloth like, or had some kind of woven pattern. What I wanted was a simple linen-weave towel that had no variation in texture. These towels are PERFECT for kitchen use, and large enough to use for a variety of functions in the kitchen. They have a nice flat woven pattern that is strong enough for any task. The color pattern runs the length of the towel (I bought the dark grey ones and they look great!). They hold up well in the washer and retain their size with minimal shrinkage after the first wash (I let mine air-dry). These are definitely worth the money, and rival the much more expensive towels I saw at the specialty shops. For a mer$12.99 for a set of 6, you can't beat it! They are simply awesome! ... show more

Mustard? Maybe brown mustard. The weave is like broadcloth. I can't imagine them being absorbent because they feel like a Carhartt jacket, but thinner. If you had a counter spill, I imagine it would be like mopping it up with a piece of ream paper. Kind of looks and feels like hard needlepoint material. It feels like it's somewhat coated like dental floss. Something isn't right about them. I was going to use them to cover my bread loaves as it's proofing but I think they are too porous. Unless it tightens after a wash. And the coating comes off. ... show more

This is a horrible product they are completely not useful for what they are made and purchase for. They have no absorption at all! I didn’t use them right away it has been over a month since I purchased them otherwise I would absolutely return them. I always wash all towels and sheets that I get before I use them or I would insist on returning them. I am going to throw them away they have no use in my home. ... show more
