  • Trace 2 vs Anthem vs Adrenaline GTS
I’ve been wearing Brooks Anthem for the past year. I decided to try some new lines to see what I prefer. I wasn’t ready to commit to a shoe I’d never worn, so I used the Try Before You Buy option. Charm City Run is the seller that provided this for Prime members, and Amazon helped fulfill the orders. I ordered three pairs of shoes from Charm City Run: one Brooks Adrenaline GTS, an initial Brooks Trace 2, and I followed up with a second pair of Trace 2s. After comparing the Adrenaline GTS, Trace 2, and my Anthems, I greatly prefer the Trace 2. The Anthems are flat at the arch, with a springy midsole. Simple shoes that have treated me kindly, and I’ve made a repeat purchase on. However, there are better shoes, so I’ve learned. Adrenaline GTS (Go-To Support) didn’t feel right. The arch was a knob under my foot, and they felt chunky on my feet. I opted to return these immediately. The Trace 2 felt like it aligned my foot how it was supposed to be for optimal posture. The cushioned midsole was superior to the Anthems I’d previously been buying. With each pair of shoes, I do a squat test to see how my hips align. A shoe’s structure will ultimately affect your foot posture, and up the chain to your knees, hips, back and so forth. With the Anthem and Adrenaline GTS, my right foot (previously fractured) was not in alignment, thus leading to poor hip flexion in the squat. When I donned the Trace 2, both of my feet felt great. The arch wasn’t of simple design like a knob under my inner foot. There was metatarsal support which helped my toes splay in the roomy toe box, which was notably more spacious than the Anthem’s. The heel cup cradled my hindfoot securely. I feel like my foot rests ON the heel cup of the Adrenaline GTS and Anthem, rather than resting IN the heel cup. Consequently, the fabric of my older pair of Anthems has worn at the heel area. When I squatted down in the Trace 2, my hip joint was aligned perfectly for even weight distribution on the descent, with proper femur positioning to allow maximal hip joint mobility. The ascent was stable and comfortable. After feeling the differences between the shoes, I purchased the Trace 2, and decided to try another pair in a different color. I ended up purchasing the second pair as well, and have received compliments on them. I definitely recommend these shoes, and I recommend Prime members to utilize Try Before You Buy. Charm City Run provided 3 new pairs of shoes in perfect condition. I ultimately returned one, and purchased two from them. ... show more

  • Good shoe
This is my 1st pair of Brooks and I love them. Very comfortable, not too wide and the pink leopard bottom is adorable.

  • Compliment Collectors
I am not a runner, but I do spend all day on my feet, and I like color and great design. Unfortunately, my job requires understated, simple clothing. These shoes caught my eye. More accurately, these beautiful Brooks jumped off the screen and practically begged me to rescue them from the warehouse and adopt them into my eclectic collection of shoes so they could be amongst kindred spirit kicks. They longed to live in my chaotic closet. I told them, emphatically, “No! No way was the Queen of Clearance, the Goddess of Goodwill, dropping nearly $90 on RUNNING SHOES.” Determined to join my gently worn and lightly used royal attendants, they ran through the heavens nightly to visit my in my dreams. Every morning, they greeted me with their shining sun and bold promises of greatness. Only a week passed before they penetrated my penny-pinching heart and I put my finger on the Buy Now button. I did not anxiously anticipate their arrival. Instead, I spent the next seventy-two hours wishing I hadn’t spent the money, hoping they wouldn’t fit so I would be forced to return them. You know the rest of the story. They are my constant companions. They carry me around for hours at a time, smiling at every pair of feet they meet. And everyone is enamored by their enthusiastic greeting and colorful costume. They are loved by all, so much so that even strangers on the street feel compelled to say hello and compliment my colorful, comfortable kicks. ... show more

  • Goy my 1st pair of Brook's today
I was so excited to get these sneakers the color is awesome. They are light weight and stylish while supporting my arch. This is a comfortable sneaker. I think they run a bit small. I got a good deal on these, hopefully, they will be my sneakers of choice outperforming Skechers! UPDATE - after wearing them for a few days in a row, they rubbed against my ankle. I ended up returning them. ... show more

  • Comfortable and Stylish
Brooks tennis shoes are truly the next best thing you can add to your shoe collection. I grew up wearing cowboy boots 99% of the time which resulted in back problems from the work we did and as I have gotten older I prefer to be barefoot or wear slides because my feet always hurt. I tried my first pair of Brooks tennis shoes 3 years and haven't looked back - they are the first tennis shoe that I can wear all day long and not even think about taking my shoes off because my feet are uncomfortable. If you are on your feet a lot, run/workout a lot, love to walk or just want a pair of shoes that aren't going to kill your feet give Brooks a try. There are many different styles and for me, I haven't had an issue going from style to style and having them all be consistently comfortable but my husband has to be careful and try on the style before buying to make sure otherwise all styles don't work for him. ... show more

  • Finally! My picky feet love these.
When I say I tried over 30 pairs of sneakers before these, I’m not joking. I’m petite. Usually wear a size 6, with narrow feet and toes that are easily annoyed (seams make me crazy). I very nearly gave up on finding sneakers I didn’t hate. While many recommend other Brooks sneakers like the Ghost, NOPE — the Trace feels much better to me. And the Trace 2, NOT 3. I tried both and the 3 rubs my ankles. I sized up to a 6.5 in these and they feel great. I wear them primarily for walking. They are light with a little support, very durable. I’ve gotten them wet and muddy and you’d never know it. Please Brooks, keep making this line of sneakers… and in brighter colors like the men’s! I purchased the bold blue-purple with the pink laces and have gotten so many compliments. 💙🩷 ... show more
