I hadn't purchased new shoes for myself in 10+ years until this year (typical mom-takes-a-back-seat-to-sports-kids in the shoe department!) I am a typical size 11 in women's shoes but mostly due to needing a wider toe box, otherwise I'm more of a 10/10.5 in length. My husband has the men's version of this shoe and said they were very comfortable so I decided to take advantage of an under $100 sale (hard to find a reputable brand under that these days!) Pros: I rarely ever wear shoes with no socks (can't stand the feeling and don't want them to be sweaty/smell) But these have been great to wear barefoot or with no-show socks. They have a built in pad in the achilles area that makes them very comfortable. The elastic around the ankle fits snug enough but does not rub or blister. The cushion is mid-level. Not like walking on a cloud but still supportive and comfortable for wearing all day at sporting events, etc. Mesh top is great for airflow and so far, even with wearing no socks, the shoes do not have an odor. Neutral color combo goes great with everything and I weirdly consider it my 'more professional' tennis shoe compared to shoes with bright or colorful accents. ;) Cons: I really can't think of any other than that they don't have as wide of a toe box as I was hoping, based on some of the other Brooks I've seen, but in fairness, this particular shoe does not advertise it has that so it's not a misrepresentation, just something I was hoping for. The white on top of the shoe is a light mesh and shows dirt and sweat from wearing them barefoot. I'm hoping I can spot clean that but haven't tried yet. I typically wear a womens size 11, but went with a 10.5 in this shoe and it is the perfect fit barefoot and with thin socks. I added some 'no sock' insoles and still had enough wiggle room to be comfortable.

Great comfort and style. I feel lighter on my feet and well balanced. At 65 years old I play pickleball in them. I fell they have great cushion and feel they allow me to move forward and sideways faster with good ankle and knee alignment and support. Lots of compliments on how they look with the ankle sock look.

Size up and half size... I love these shoes, and they are comfortable unfortunately I do wish and should have ended up sizing up because they fit tight. I do know that this style of shoe fits like a glove so maybe I should have taken into consideration the fact that it would already be fitting tight to my feet. Outside of me wishing I would have sized up, I love them. They are very comfortable and support the foot nicely.

These are incredibly comfortable shoes! They’re cushioned really well, and I noticed relief in my sore heels after wearing them, even on longer days. I feel sturdy and supported in them without feeling heavy. I also love that the tongue is attached, so they slip on easily, and there’s no irritating movement while walking. Overall, they’re a great choice if you need soft, supportive, and reliable shoes for everyday walking or running

I have severe spinal issues and Brooks are the only shoes I can wear if I’m going to be on my feet for long periods of time. The Glycerin is the only walking shoes I wear on my daily 3-mile walk since my major spinal injury from 2019. The 1st pair of Glycerin 19 lasted almost three years over 3000 miles of walking distance. I started my 2nd pair of Glycerin sometime in 2022, and still walking in them as of May 2025. Judging on how worn they are, I might need to go to a new pair by the end of this year. These Glycerin 21 will be that new pair. In my opinion Brooks are pretty expensive shoes (not as expensive as medical bills) but are very well worth it. These shoes are light weight, and comfortable, but they are not as soft as some of the Sketchers I had, however the Sketchers didn’t last nearly as long as these. The stability of Brooks really helps reduce my back pain. Which means I can be upright longer before the pain kicks in. So, I’m happily paying their price and consider they are great value, because the support, balance, and comfort they provide.
