Ok ladies, here is an honest review of the Brooks Ghost Max Running & Walking Shoe. First let me give you some insight into me so you get a full picture of why I LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE SHOES. I have Plantar Fasciitis in both heels, bad knees, and a bad back from my time in the Air Force. I have normal feet with normal arches, I have a full time,and a part job. My full time job is a desk job, I am a “chair princess” lol, I sit all day except when I CHOOSE to stand at my computer. :-) My part time job is at Food Lion a grocery store as a front end cashier lead and I stand for 7 to 8 hours without sitting down except for my lunch break Friday thru Sunday. I do an abundance of walking and standing during these three days I also do a lot of pushing and pulling to bring shopping carts inside. Until this weekend I have been wearing a pair of Skechers for the last year at the store and my feet have been hurting soooooo bad. So bad in fact that there have been nights that I have literally shuffled, hobbled really, into the house barely able to move because I was in so much pain. Desperate one day I asked my manager if her feet hurt at the end of the day and she looked at me and said “No”. So I asked her what shoes she was wearing and she said “These are Brooks”. I said Ok I will have to try them! Tonight was the end of the first weekend wearing my new Brooks Ghost Max Running & Walking Shoe and this is how I felt at the end of each night: Friday night a 6 hour shift - my heels were a little sore, but not like normal. Saturday night an 8 hour shift - my feet did NOT HURT, this was very unusual. Sunday night an 8 1/2 hour shift - my feet ABSOLUTELY DID NOT HURT, this was definitely UNEXPECTED!!! I wear a size 8 in all closed toe shoes and these are true to size. I will be honest I was skeptical when my manager told me that her feet don’t hurt, but I swear I believe her now! These shoes are amazing. The shoes came laced skipping the last eyelet. I wore the shoes laced that way Friday night they were a touch uncomfortable across the throat of the shoe. So when I put them on Saturday morning I left the last two eyelets unlaced and that made them fit perfectly. These shoes are even cute. Normally tennis shoes shoes are boxy and ugly to me…. BUT NOT THESE! Ladies, my feet feel great, my knees and my back do not even hurt. I did not even have to put inserts in these shoes which completely surprised me! Look ladies I normally despise tennis shoes/sneakers… I mean it all tennis shoes/sneakers period because they all always hurt my feet……….. BUT THEN……..I PUT ON MY FIRST PAIR OF BROOKS SHOES………. At $149.00 this is the most that I have ever paid for a pair of shoes but I promise you I do not regret it at all! You may not want to pay that much for a pair of shoes but I swear they are worth it. Have you heard the saying “You get what you pay for”? Pay the money I promise you will not regret it either. For me these shoes paid for themselves on the second night, they are worth every single penny I paid for them. I have already told a coworker about how amazing these shoes are and I will be telling all my coworkers about Brooks Shoes! I will be buying another pair for when I’m not working…. my work shoes are black so I would like another pair that are not black. Brooks I would like them in a pretty pink please! ;-) ... show more

    • Incredibly Comfortable
Size: 11 Wide Color: White/Oyster/Metallic Silver
These are definitely the most comfortable sneakers I've ever worn! They are sturdy and supportive as well as light and roomy, and they are so cushioned that I feel lighter and have more of a bounce in my step when I'm wearing them. Not to mention that I love the way they look. Great shoes!!!

I have a very wide foot in the front which often makes shoes challenging, but the wide size of these fits me perfectly! I've honestly never felt a feeling like the one of standing in these shoes; it's like standing on air, so comfy. Yet, they are also super stable and bouncy. Love love love these shoes. Did a bunch of research and heard a lot of great things, finally made the investment and the reviews were right! These shoes are comfortable, stylish and great for walking and working out. Definitely worth the money.

This is my 2nd pair of Brooks. I am not a runner anymore, but loved how light and comfortable the first pair were. This pair is also light and comfy. Much higher and wider sole. Advertised as both walking and running which is perfect for me since I am a walker. I ordered a size larger as I have been doing in running shoes for 40 years bc of my long big toe and narrow foot. But I should have gone a half size smaller. The toe box is much wider than any pair I have ever owned, and seems longer too. The heel is not wider and fits great. Unfortunately I took them for a spin outside before I noticed so couldn't exchange. Doesn't seem to matter for walking but I wouldn't run with them like that. ... show more

After wearing the Brooks Glycerin line for years because of an arthritic big toe, I was tentative about switching to the Ghost Max. I walk about 5 to 7 miles each day, and I need a supportive shoe for long distances. The Ghost Max is great! I would say it's more supportive than the Glycerin in that my foot does not move while walking within the shoe, it offers firm support with every stride. The toe box is plenty big even for my hallux limitus condition. I wanted to write this review for my fellow hallux limitus and rigidus sufferers - try out the Ghost Max, hope it works for you. ... show more

These shoes are so comfortable. They fit great. Needed shoes to do my walking on the treadmill. Arch was starting to hurt, now I can walk for miles with no pain. Would highly recommend.

These Ghost Max Brooks are the best! They provide great support, are so comfortable, and relief pain I have in my feet/knees. The colors are bright and so fun which isn't always the case with larger sized shoes. They are a bit more expensive then I'd like, but if I ever see these on sale I'll be buying another pair! ... show more
