Review of: Brooks Women’s Ghost 17 Neutral Running Shoe Color: Grey/Chateau Grey/Portabella Size 7.5 By measurement, I'm a size 7 regular/medium. Most of my exercise shoes are 7.5 regular, as is this one. The width is perfectly comfortable on me. Snug at first, but after 3 weeks of a lot of wear they feel incredible. Length is great, although just barely. The foot bed is soft but firm. Not squishy. I need a decent arch support and these are nice and high and sturdy. The color (see above) is gorgeous and will coordinate with anything. The heel stays put without sliding. The heel also has the new heel style that makes them easy to slide your feet into, and you don't feel it at all when you point your toe. Great cushioning in the soles. I feel stable and straight with my slight overpronation. I immediately went on vacation when these shoes arrived, so I took a chance. I walked about 10,000 steps a day for 8 days! Including rushing through airports. These shoes felt amazing the entire time. Only took a couple of days to stretch just perfectly to my feet. At first they were digging into my ankles :( It's towards the front of the inner ankle on both shoes/feet. After an hour in them I had dents in the skin. It's right at the point where the top shoe lace hole is. It's a hard piece with no cushion. The Ghost 14 was not like this. However, I took those points and bent them backwards quite aggressively several times in the first day. I also loosened the laces all the way down the shoe, then tied them just a bit looser than I normally would. I wore them around the house for an entire day like this and they felt GREAT. Then I took them on my trip and had no issues. So I was able to completely solve that issue. I've seen others complain of the same thing. I have skinny ankles, a bit bony you might say. So it's not an issue of my size. So although I do think the manufacturer should try to fix the issue, I was able to fix it myself. It's a great shoe and I highly recommend.

Love these shoes! Had ankle fusion 4 years back and Brooks shoes were recommend to me by surgeon. I have not looked back. This is my 4th pair and absolutely love them. Very comfortable for long standing and walking. Cushion and arch is perfect. Also breathable material while keeping your feet stable. Very durable and will last a long time. I do go up half size from my true to size but they also sell them in wide which may help as well.

Brooks running shoes are hands-down the most comfortable pair I’ve owned. The cushioning is amazing—soft enough to absorb impact but still supportive, so my feet don’t feel tired after long runs. The fit is true to size, with plenty of room in the toe box while still feeling secure around the heel. I’ve noticed a big difference in how light and responsive they feel, making runs smoother and more enjoyable. Super ugly but very comfortable. I wear these everyday at work. I stand and walk a lot on concrete in a warehouse. Arch support is good. They’re holding up well and they grip well on wet polished concrete. I only wish they didn’t look like the grandma shoes. (The style is obviously different but when I see them, I’m reminded of the New Balance 530 sneakers. I can’t unsee it. Yuck.) Too bad these are the best shoes I’ve ever had or I’d chuck them just for that.

These shoes are amazing! Comfortable, provide great support, and come in very stylish colors. I actually wore them into a shoe store and the clerk commented immediately on my shoes. They carried Brooks but did not have the new Ghost or color selection. I will be buying another pair. A great walking shoe.

The all time best running shoe! I’m a long distance runner and go through new shoes from mileage about every two months and these are my go to always! Amazing for wide feet too! Fully supportive but not too heavy and super breathable! The support is perfect and I size up one size but I run long miles so I like the extra room for my feet which are also wide!
