I was a bit hesitant in getting this shoe because I have been wearing the Addiction shoe now for about 2-3 years. I have orthotics and so it is hard for me to find shoes that support my foot, is comfortable, and able to slide the orthotics into without difficulty. Since these are on sale, I thought I would try them. Saving about $40 per pair of shoes is a good sale in my opinion. The first thing I noticed when I got them was that these are significantly lighter than my Addiction style and so I was a bit concerned that they might not hold my foot like the Addiction. However, my orthotics slid right in, and from the minute I put the shoes on, they fit perfect. No pain, no breaking in of the shoe, they are just comfortable! Lots of room in the toe box, no slipping on the heel, they seem to have a good padding. I could not ask for a better shoe! I have just ordered another pair before the sale goes off in a slightly different color. The pattern I really wanted was sold out, but hey, for the price and the fit/comfort, I'll find a pattern I like as there are many to choose from.

If in doubt don’t be, these are a great shoe. Being a nurse I’m on my feet 10 to 12 hours a day and this shoe has been amazing. When I first started using the Brooks brand was only using in gym and walking/running and went to my Nike Reax for work. Nike has narrowed up its shoe and toe box (if you can even find a pair) and that doesn’t work for me. Have always been a size 7 W and these fit perfect! There was no breaking in period from first time putting them on the fit was perfect! Bye bye Nikes and hello Brooks, have a second pair coming to wear for every day casual wear. Hoping that Brooks won’t change their style. Good shoes are hard to find but will stay loyal as the company stays loyal to what they say. Brooks has a return policy if you don’t like the fit will make sure you do and that is a plus. No regrets.

I have been wearing Ghost's for years now and the quality is superb with every new pair I buy. Tried Asics but they don't even compare to these. I wear mine when I will be doing a lot of walking or at work. (I use my old pairs for yard work.) I cannot even describe how fantastic these shoes are. You feel like you are walking/running on clouds with minimum impact on your back, legs and feet. And they make you walk/run faster w/o even realizing it. Typically, I am a size 6, but for these shoes, I am a size 7. I sized up due to the semi-point toe these shoes have. Even the 6.5's are to tight in the toe area. I would recommend going to Academy to test the fit first, then buying online for the style/colors.

I have two pairs of these shoes. They are comfortable. I bought the first pair before going on a two week vacation in Europe where I knew I was going to walk a lot. The shoes worked great, and my feet were not hurting from a lot of walking. I wear size US 8.5 wide in regular shoes. I bought my first pair in 8.5 wide. It turned out to be about 1/4 inch longer than my actual foot. So this particular brand or shoe type runs a bit bigger than your regular shoe size. I bought another pair in 8 wide, and it fit me better. The width fit me great in both shoes. My actual foot from the heel to the end of the longest toe measures 250mm(25cm). I know that because I measured it for ski boot sizing which is in cm. Here are the various sizes for the two pairs of women's Brooks Ghost 14 shoes. I have been buying Brooks shoes for several years. Dicks Sporting was the only place I could find them and they are EXPENSIVE. I know the size and specific style (Ghost) that works best for me, so I ordered a pair through Amazon Smile. They are perfect. If I could add one suggestion, I wish the insoles were better. I have Plantar Fasciitis issues and have to use Super Green insoles to give me proper support.

I was hesitant to spend this much money on a pair of sneakers for walking my dog, but I've been plagued with relentless plantar fasciitis pain in my right heel, and it has kept me from being active the way I want to be. I was in constant, 24/7 pain, even when sitting. It was excrutiating, and I just couldn't take it any more. I joined a support group on Facebook, and tons of people recommended these shoes specifically. I was willing to try anything at that point, so I used the "try before you buy" program to see how they worked for me. I felt a difference as soon as I put them on! The most noticeable difference is that this particular shoe gives your foot a pronounced tilt forward, taking the constant pressure off your heel and shifting the impact forward to the ball of your foot. This brought immediate relief! Also, I had purchased some Dr. Scholls Plantar Fasciitis insoles previously to use in other shoes, and I noticed that the insoles that come in these shoes are almost identical to the thickness and shape of those, except that the ones in these shoes have an even higher arch support. I can walk in these and not feel like I'm walking on rocks under my heel. When I sit, there's not the constant, throbbing pain that continues. I experienced relief from the very first day I put them on, and it has gradually improved. So I didn't even need the full 7-day trial to know that these were golden! So if you have this type of foot problem, feel confident that these shoes will help you ease the discomfort. Also, I have a very narrow foot, and I was pleasantly surprised that this brand sells narrow widths. My narrow (and thin from top to bottom) foot usually makes it quite difficult to get a good fit in any type of shoe, but these are magical! This was my first Brooks purchase, but I will definitely be back again when I need to replace these shoes. I highly recommend them! I'm also pleasantly surprised that such a solid, supportive shoe is so very lighweight. I didn't expect they would be so airy, but they really are so great for everyday wear.
