  • Both Feet Are Happy, So I Will Keep Them
Size: 10.5 Color: Black/Blackened Pearl/Aquaglass
I love the style and color of these shoes and I also like the warm, breathable, water-resistant Gore-Tex. They will be great for cooler and wetter weather. However, I’m happiest with the fact that I actually found a pair of shoes to suit my fickle feet. For a neutral shoe, they are pretty accommodating. I used to have high arches, but not anymore. From years of my arches falling and my feet getting longer, I now have two completely different feet. My old lady feet have taken a beating and are—now—seldom in agreement. Normally, if my left foot likes a shoe, then my right foot complains; and, if my right foot likes the shoe, then my left foot complains. Each foot wants not only a different type of shoe, but also a different size. My left foot is a half-size longer, and it is slightly thinner and flatter than the right foot. While it still has a pretty good arch, it wants a neutral shoe. Unfortunately, my right foot wants a curved shoe with support for supination. It would also prefer a wider shoe with more room at the top to accommodate the arch. I always wear a longer size shoe to accommodate the left foot, but it leaves the right foot sliding in the heal a bit. When I go with a neutral shoe to accommodate the left foot, my right foot supinates and puts a lot of weight into the lateral side of the shoe. When I go with a shoe that makes the right foot happy and supported, my left foot aches. After a long search for shoes, I settled on these. My left foot really loves these shoes, and my right foot is OK with it. This is one of the few types of shoes where my feet are somewhat in agreement. The wider toe box is nice too. The only thing I would like better would be to have a little more room at the top of the shoe to accommodate those with slightly higher arches. I do measure the length and width of my feet and check the manufacturer before buying shoes online, and I would say that these shoes run slightly narrower than expected. I have pretty decent—but not high--arches and these barely accommodate the top of my feet, so there is a bit of pressure there. It is not bad though and I’m fairly certain that this will ease up as I break in the shoes. The cushioning in these shoes is superb and makes up for a lot. I think it will do a good job of protecting my right knee from any damage from supination. However, a person with higher arches might want to look elsewhere for stability and/or room. Right now, I can’t vouch for the durability of the shoe, since I just got them. However, they appear to be well made. I have had Brooks Ghost shoes in the past and they held up over a year. I’m pretty rough on shoes and can easily go through a pair in under six months, so I am pleased with my last purchase. Hopefully, these will hold up too. ... show more

  • Great shoe but laces are too short
Size: 7.5 Color: Black/Blackened Pearl/Aquaglass
Great value, very comfortable, great look. I easily get in 4 miles per day plus a Zumba class 3 times per week in my Ghost 14’s. My only complaint is that the laces are too short and I have to stop and re-tie a few times during each activity

  • Firm fit/sized slightly small
I compared these to the Brook’s Ghost I previously bought and past Skechers. I wear a women’s 11 The fit seems a bit small and feels firm, and less flexible when walking. Not necessarily a bad thing. I haven’t worn them long so an update will be needed in the future

  • Favorite Waterproof Sneakers. Purchased a 2nd Pair!
Size: 6 Color: Black/Blackened Pearl/Aquaglass
I bought some of these last year (photo) and just purchased a second pair for this upcoming fall/winter. Love the Brooks Ghost comfort and fit, and when traveling these are great choice because they keep your feet dry and have all-day support. They are a bit expensive. The darker color goes well with different casual outfits (almost looks dark blue - black color.) ... show more

  • Lasted 4mo on Med-Surg
Size: 6 Color: Black/Blackened Pearl/Aquaglass
I liked the look, the fit and the slip resistance. I did not like the laces that kept coming undone or that my feet started aching 3mo in and i just experienced my first shin splint as a Nurse on a Med-Surg floor. If these were $50 shoes maybe i would just buy a new pair but i think ill try cheaper shoes and maybe buy inserts idk. ... show more

  • My feet are dry with the comfort level expected from Brooks Ghost
Winter in Georgia is wet. needed a pair of winter running shoes that stayed dry and comfortable. Brooks Ghost is my shoe of choice, so it was no brainer to select this shoe. Brooks Ghost always delivers and I have dry feet.

  • Size runs differently than other Ghost
Size: 9 Color: Black/Blackened Pearl/Aquaglass
I purchased the same size as my Ghost 13’s, these seem to run smaller in the width. Maybe due to it being Ghost 14 GTX Waterproof. I did feel the shoe was more fitting and did not seem to have as much stretch. I don’t normally wear a wide shoe, but I think for this product, it would have been a better fit for me. ... show more
