My Podiatrist recommends Brooks and he is right. I'm able to walk 6 to 7 miles daily with no more Plantar Fasciitis (pro tip- buy wide, he was right about that too). (Disclaimer- I am not a doctor- if you have foot issues be sure to check with your health care provider, but for me these are great!) I'm a Brooks fan! They are cushioned and have great arch support. As for durability, I walk 6 to 7 miles 6 days a week so I have to replace mine every three months, that is a lot of walking. My Podiatrist recommended these shoes after having plantar fascia release surgery. These shoes are VERY supportive and are a lot of shoe, even more than I normally prefer, but they are perfect for after surgery. They don't have a lot of squish, which I appreciate because those types of shoes often makes me feel unbalanced. So far, they have been very durable, they have helped me to start walking without a boot and without pain. I think they look quite sporty and I love that the color isn't too wild. I would recommend for anyone that needs a lot of support or stability or for anyone that is having plantar fasciitis. ... show more

    • The only shoes that fit my weird shaped feet
Size: 8.5 X-Wide Color: Chateau Grey/White Sand
Last year I went to a running store where they used this fancy scale thing to digitally measure my feet to get the best fit and this was the only shoe they had in the whole store that fit me. Apparently my feet are wide in the middle which isn’t common so I have to size up by .5 AND get extra wide. I wore those shoes every day (one boy in my kindergarten class even asked why I only ever wore them) because they are so comfortable; my feet never ache at the end of the day, even being on my feet for hours. After probably 1.5 years of daily wear (in active jobs) I finally wore those shoes out, and was really glad to see that Amazon has them in my size and a normal non-athletic color (yay beige!). Now I have shoes that actually blend in with all of my outfits which is great! These are constructed thoughtfully and ergonomically and 100% worth the price. ... show more
