I love this shoe. I went a good 2-3 years without running because I could not find a decent running shoe that didn't murder my feet on the treadmill, and I got tired of looking. Nikes were pretty but awful. I bought Hokas because they were low-profile and I couldn't stand the enormous soles that running shoes magically gained in the last few years? I just wanted a normal running shoe, and those Hokas seemed the closest, but they had no supporting structure and turned out to be the worst. The Brooks Revels were the next closest to that normal running shoe that I wanted. Neutral support, without obscene amounts of cushioning---especially important because I lift weights, and I don't want any bounce when I'm doing heavy squats. Anyway, I've now been running again for a solid 3 months, and my feet feel fine, which I'm super excited about. So excited that I bought like seven freaking pairs when the 7s went on sale this past month, knowing that I will probably struggle like hell to find something like it again in 5-10 years. Plus, Brooks, that style refresh on the Revel 8s? Not looking good. What's with the melted marshmallow look on the sides of the soles? But the 7s are just right in my opinion. These lose one star only because two of the pairs I've gotten (out of my seven) have uppers that are not centered over the sole (meaning the pattern on the upper skews *heavily* toward one side, which screams of poor quality control). But since this is purely an aesthetic issue, the shoes were on discount, and they just work so well when no other shoe seems to, I chose to ignore this. But Brooks, you gotta keep your eyes on those shoe uppers, because people less desperate than me will not accept that skew.

Really nice shoes. Got these for my boyfriend as he needed new work shoes. He had HOKA's previously and loved it but it was time for new shoes. I heard good things about them and decided to order. My boyfriend likes them. He said they're very comfortable, not as comfortable as the HOKAS but he said he might change his mind once he breaks them in. They look really nice on.
