As a distance runner, Brooks are the only shoes that don't bruise my toes. The Hyperion Max are no exception. I tested the fit with Try Before You Buy a few months ago and the the size is true to their other models (I usually wear Brooks Ghost). I bought the Hyperion Max for when I run the Detroit Free Press Int'l Marathon in October. They are amazingly lightweight and fit my feet like a glove. I've been training in Ghost all summer, but they're starting to feel 'hard' when I land. These shoes are springy and ultra-comfortable on my feet. I wore them for a 6-mile run after they arrived and they performed beautifully - no foot pain and with a quick turnover. I'd like to add that they're much more florescent than they appear in the product photos. I thought they'd be more of a lime green rather than neon, but I'll get used to it!

These are great shoes. I’ve never had these particular Brooks’ so was a little nervous, but they’re fabulous! They’re extremely lightweight and comfortable and I’ve never had any discomfort after wearing them.

I love this shoe but not sure about the quality. Out of all of Brooks I've had this is the first one that's been defective. The shoe is coming apart where the tongue meets the shoe under the laces. The shoe has maybe 50 miles on it!! Highly disappointed!

After many years of running on the daily, training for Halfs/fulls/ultras, I tried Hoka's and got my first black toe ever on my first 8 miler out. I purchased these about the same time, and have been one of the only pair of shoes that I can wear in the interim due to the roomier than Hoka toe box. I've been out on several 10+ mile runs with them, and they hold up very well all the way through. They feel fast, maybe not carbon fast, but they aren't carbon money, either, and they also let me run a consistent pace pretty effortlessly. I'll probably use them for my upcoming marathon and report back. Update I'm a little less than 100 miles in. Still love the shoes, but they are starting to come apart in a couple of spots where the base is glued, while otherwise brand new. Seems a stretch the will last
