  • Solid upgrade. The wider base and lower drop make a massive difference for daily road miles. Solid upgrade. The wider base and lower drop make a massive difference for daily road miles.
Size: 9 Color: Bluewash/Lemon/Marina
I picked up the Glycerin 23s in the Bluewash/Lemon/Marina colorway (absolutely love this limited edition colorway for the accents) to replace my aging daily trainers. After logging some serious road miles in them on hard concrete, I’m incredibly impressed with the specific structural updates Brooks brought to this version. The Ride and Cushioning The big talking point here is the new DNA TUNED nitrogen-infused foam. In the past, some max-cushion shoes left me feeling like I was sinking into wet sand, but Brooks nailed the balance here. It’s plush when you land, but it still gives you a clean, energetic toe-off. They added an extra 2mm of foam under the forefoot, which is a lifesaver for absorbing impact if you tend to fatigue over longer efforts. Shifting the drop down from 10mm to 8mm is another massive win—it keeps your foot position feeling much more neutral and balanced through the entire stride. Stability and Base Even though this is categorized as a neutral shoe, the platform underfoot is noticeably wider than previous models. If you prefer a shoe with a wide, grounded base that offers great inherent stability without the intrusive, rigid feel of a traditional support post, this hits the absolute sweet spot. It tracks beautifully on sharp turns and uneven asphalt. Fit and Upper The knit upper feels premium and has just the right amount of structure. The toe box feels slightly roomier and more accommodating this time around, giving your toes plenty of space to splay naturally without any hot spots or pinching. Heel lockdown is also spot on—the plush collar holds the foot securely, and I haven't experienced a hint of heel slippage, even without using a runner's knot. Quick Pros: Zonal Cushioning: Incredibly protective underfoot without feeling sloppy or mushy. Stable Platform: The wider base offers fantastic, natural stability for a neutral shoe. Smooth Transition: The 8mm offset feels way more natural than the old 10mm drop. Premium Upper: Great lockdown, breathable knit, and the colorway looks sharp in person. Things to Consider: Weight: At around 10.6 oz, it's a max-cushion trainer, not a racing flat. You’ll feel the weight if you try to pick up the pace for speed work. Pacing: This shoe is highly optimized for daily cruising, recovery blocks, and long-slow miles. It’s not built for fast tempo days. The Verdict If you want a highly reliable, protective daily driver to save your joints during high-mileage weeks, the Glycerin 23 is tough to beat. Brooks made all the right tweaks to the geometry and platform width to make this version feel incredibly stable and smooth. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Comfort Meets Style – Best Everyday Running Shoes
Size: 10.5 Color: Blue/Spellbound/Starfish
I’ve been using the Brooks Men’s Glycerin 23 Neutral Running Shoes and I like them a lot. They are extremely comfortable, provide great cushioning, and feel very smooth while walking or running. The fit is excellent and they also look stylish enough to wear casually. My feet feel less tired even after long hours of use. Definitely a great choice for anyone looking for comfort and support in a running shoe. ... show more

  • Comfortable and Supportive
Size: 13 Color: Black/Grey/White
Brooks Glycerin 23 are very comfortable light weight walking shoes for long walks. They look great, husband's really happy with them! Usually wear a size 12 and size 13 fit best. Toe box is roomy with no crowding. Thank You Brooks!

  • Best Brooks I Have
Size: 10.5 Color: Blue/Spellbound/Starfish
This is my second pair of Brooks. These are MUCH better than my Beasts. I really like the cushion and tread. I use them for running. They are lightweight, true to size, and the soles last a long time.

  • Nice sneakers but...
Size: 8 Color: Blue/Spellbound/Starfish
These are nice but I prefer my Asics Gel-Nimbus for running and walking. To me, my Asics have more room in the toe box, softer footbed and feel lighter and cooler. My Brooks (Glycerin 23) look much better and feel good in most areas, with better structure and support around the sides and top of my foot. The material feels high-quality, and the laces stay tied. ... show more

  • Big toe box, great support, ready out of the box
Size: 9 Wide Color: White/Black/Gum
Immediate perfection. I have a wide foot box, high instep and arch and this shoe immediately cushioned all of the problem points and my foot slid in with ease. Out of the box more comfortable than any other shoe I have worn.

  • Very comfortable, Great fit, at a good price
Size: 9.5 Wide Color: Black/Grey/White
My initial impression is "Wow!", Very comfortable, the fit is amazing. As for the price? well my whole life was buying cheap shoes like the NIKE Revolution 7 which has my feet hurting after 2 years, based on my health tracker I put about 900 miles on them. I am 66 years old and I feel I need better shoes now. Spent some time looking at reviews and videos and picked these. The only issue I have had is I had to return the first pair because of the fit. I wear Nike size 9 normal width, the size 9 I got was tight. Ordered the size 9.5 wide and OMG. so be ready to order 1 size up just in case. No regrets Let's go running I am ready. ... show more

  • Lightweight & Perfect Fit
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: White/Black/Gum
These are the best shows for running/walking I've tried thus far. The fit is perfect. They are lightweight. They look great and are quality footwear. I would think they are going to be durable for everyday exercise and are reasonably priced. Plenty of room for toes and I have a wide foot.
