So good for walking. Lots of padding in the heels. Plenty wide. Shoelaces stay tied!! I paid a little more than I usually do for shoes but these were well worth the additional cost. Very very comfortable! I absolutely love them. And they have worn very well. The sole is pretty flat. Good on streets and sidewalks. I will buy another pair when these wear out. I walk 4 miles a day in them! Get a pair!!!

Great shoes! Super comfortable and tons of cushion. Never cared for Brooks until these shoes. Even more comfortable than my On Cloud shoes. For reference I'm a 53yr old male, 6'3 220lbs with back and hip issues for years of sports. These shoes really reduce the pain during and after a jog or workout. I'll never go back to Nike or New Balance again. And if you can catch a sale, do it! Normally $150, I got these for $99 each. Started with one pair and they were so good, I ordered two more! Next day delivery too. Highly recommend for walking, workouts; running. Light weight shoes too, not bulky or heavy at all.

Along with my new diet, exercise became a really important part of my weight loss journey. If you’re going to start walking, you need shoes up to the task. These are fantastic! I went from one mile, to five, to 15, never having a blister or sore feet. They are very light and quite comfy. After several months they finally started to break down. But when I checked my exercise log I realized I had walked over 600 miles in these shoes! Given that kind of mileage, I’m astounded that they remained so supportive. Of the half dozen athletic shoes I’ve bought this year, these remain my favorites.

These shoes are the best Glycerins yet. They fit right and have good arch support. They are well made and comfortable. The toe box is generous and the shoe fits well in the heel. The ride is smooth and cushioned. The sole has a unique grip design, great for the road but be careful it can also grip carpet - when the shoes were new they unexpectedly stopped on carpet in an airport lobby but I kept going - down on the floor. I was lucky to get up with only a few bruises. After months of wear that grip design has smoothed and I can now walk in airports but carefully.

I have owned many brooks running shoes size 12 1/2. This one is at least 1/2 size smaller than other Brooks running. The heel is well cushioned which makes it a comfortable shoe to run in, but at the expense of the toe area. A little more comfort is needed there. It is possible going up a 1/2 size can help solve that discomfort.

I walk and jog daily and my get and toes hurt after. Tried these shoes and the cushion helps out a lot. I still have a little pain but not near the amount I was having. They are great for walking and jogging and have great cushioning from heel to toes with good arch support. So far the soles have help up great. Really not seeing any wear on them yet. Size ran a little small for me. I had to go 1/2 size larger to get proper fit. Minor detail but something I love about these is they do not come untied while walking or jogging. Most of my shoes I have had in the past have needed to be double tied or they would come untied Great shoe and will buy the glycerine again

This is my second pair of Brooks Glycerin 21s. Brooks recently replaced it with the 22 and the 21s are already becoming hard to find in my size, so I bought these even though I don't need them at the moment. As a 65 year old who runs 40+ miles a week, I need to baby my legs. I've found that this is the absolute best shoe for me and my running, most of which is done between 9:00-11:00 minutes per mile. I have over 700 miles on my first pair of Glycerin 21s, so durability is not a problem. When I put them up against these, it's clear that the foam midsole has broken down and so they need to be replaced, but they literally look brand new. The outer sole is very durable, as are the uppers. I single knot them when I run and they never come untied. The ride is certainly plusher than the Ghost, and the weight difference is not enough to notice for a runner like me. All in all, the Glyercin 21 is the perfect trainer. I love them and highly recommend them.
