  • Amazing as usual for this brand
Size: 10.5 Color: Black/Black/Ebony
I recently purchased the Brooks Ghost Max 3 in black, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. From the moment I put them on, the comfort was outstanding. The cushioning is incredibly soft and supportive, making every step feel smooth and effortless, whether I'm walking, running, or standing for long periods. The black color looks sleek, modern, and versatile. It pairs well with both athletic and casual outfits, giving the shoe a premium appearance. I also appreciate the excellent stability and shock absorption, which help reduce fatigue during longer workouts and daily activities. The fit is true to size, and the breathable upper keeps my feet comfortable throughout the day. Brooks has clearly paid attention to both performance and style with the Ghost Max 3. If you're looking for a shoe that delivers exceptional comfort, support, durability, and a clean all-black design, this is an excellent choice. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Best shoes ever made, you can barely feel the ground Best shoes ever made, you can barely feel the ground
Size: 11 Wide Color: Black/Black/Ebony
These shoes are the sign of Jesus, God, whatever you believe in. These are a real true steal these shoes right here. Happy is a massive understatement. I have very very bad foot pain, caused by a high arch, severe platar fasciitis with bumps the size of dates which means I can't even use an arthotic insert, and a degenerative bone disorder. Imagine being stabbed in your feet for years at random and getting used to it. I also have bad knees, and a bad back. 5 years of surgery bad. So these shoes, are the best shoes ever made at least in my case and until I find something better which I doubt, I'm only using these. I got the Wide ("2E") version and that gives me a good amount of room, I usually get Wide. The lower cushioned sole stops basically any, any feeling of anything on the ground. The insole inside makes it even better. I tried using a gel insole that worked for about a day then didn't. I placed the brooks insole back in, I should have never taken it out. They are light weighted. The sidings do not jab your sides at all. The Tongue of the shoe is comfortable and fluffy, not tight. They breathe very very well. I walk all day in trecherous environments. No sweat, no heat. The design is very modern I must say they did a very good job there. I'm not the type that wants flashy weird crazy designs and glitter stuff, just basic, nothing crazy no attention, so these are great their design is a great selling point. I hope they continue with that trend for these. You don't need to break these in, like when you put them on, that is what you will continuously get. I myself work in an industry around very heavy equipment, and I have to walk many miles per day (2, 5,15, 20) non stop and fast, while carrying equipment, crazy angles, up ladders, stairs, hills, then standing for long or short periods anywhere between 1-40 minutes, then going again like insanity, for between 8-16+ hours per day, sometimes even more than 24 hours, around concrete, sand, gravel, grass, water, mud, jagged rocks, you name it, every single day. I must say, I have driven with these on. It's an experience you must try it. Why go to a mechanic? Just wear Brooks.... I've used Merrell, Keen and Sketchers GoGa Max whatever they're called for years, Sketchers ZenGo Max whatever, was the only thing I could wear but you just can't get away with those puffy light shoes at my job. It seemed like the cheapest pair of foam shoes like that were the only things that would work for me until I got Brooks Ghost 15, which saved me, then I got these Ghost Max 3's a few years later a month ago, and the entire world changed for me. I also have sensitive skin on my feet, so I blister very easily. Any shoes will do that without a proper tight fit which I can't handle. So it turned out I paired these Brooks later on with Silverlight socks for hiking. Those themselves are pretty expensive at $35 a pair (Very well worth it though), but that's what I got in case anyone wants the real true recommended setup for that kind of intense work, or just anyone that wants the complete in total kind of astronaut experience, and I'm sure there are other type of socks, but man, the pairing of these shoes with those socks. Hilton bed all day, marshmallow super man. I'll say the first time I tried the Brooks Ghost Max 1st edition was a few years ago and back then not sure what is different now but before, it felt like the shoe then were giving way too much roll, started hurting my toes. These new ones (Max 3) do not have that issue, and I tried the Max 2, those also did not have that issue. They stabilize your feet just enough. I tried the Glycerine Max's the other day at Dick's Sporting Goods, I will say those are insane with how much pillow they added there it's literally like the pool noodle foam material, except the roll it gives at the end makes you feel like you're not supported at the middle or rear, feels like you're forced to step forward some with those. The Max 3's support you way better than those in the roll in my opinion. So again, another reason why these are the best option. If you get these I recommend getting shoe shaper/tree inserts to keep their shape. My Ghost 15's started curling up after about 2 years of wear, these may not because they're so thick. Side note I also got the Ghost 17's alongside these which are lower height, something bad happened since Ghost 15 I'm not sure what it is. Excellent pair and more cushioning and higher but, something's off. The look and support isn't all the way there. So I'm with Ghost Max all the way. My friend got a pair of White Max 2's, they got dirty very easily fast so I would think twice about White color. - Marshmallow Superman ... show more

  • Finally, a shoe that accommodates orthotic inserts
Size: 12.5 X-Wide Color: Black/Black/Ebony
Finally, I’ve found a suitable shoe to accommodate my prescription orthotics. There are important factors to make the shoe appropriate; first being the vertical space. The drop works well for my feet and my push through my stride feels like it ought to. I’ve tried Hoka, which was just too squishy and was not the right shoe for inserts, not for me, anyway. Very comfortable and the shoes breathe well, important for us in AZ. Also, the tongue stays in place, which in other shoes aggravated my foot pain. I had to go with the extra wide due to the falling arch in one foot and my toes finally have room to move more naturally. I had no idea that I needed wide toe box shoes until I tried them, night and day difference at the end of the day after being on ny feet most of the day. Colors were limited in my size 13, but that’s an acceptable sacrifice for what I receive. The price was fair, considering I paid just as much for others that are now useless to me. The weight is just fine, they feel like a high quality shoe ought to. ... show more

  • Best shoe ever
Size: 12 Wide Color: Black/Black/Ebony
My husband used to get another top brand shoe but decided to try these and these out beat the other ones, the durability is wonderful, working performance is outstanding, and let's not forget the appearance is great, fit was right on, and they didn't hurt his feet.

  • Best shoes I have ever needed Best shoes I have ever needed
Size: 8 Wide Color: Black/Navy/Acid Lime
These shoes have been amazing for me. I have really, really bad neuropathy. So bad my neurologist sent me 2.5 hrs away to see a specialist in neuropathy. These shoes have help me not trip as much. They have helped me be able to tolerate standing to continue my job in healthcare. (I refuse to try for disability. I want to continue working.) Even though I am a female I got a man's because it is wider and it helps at the end of the day when the swelling starts. I did let the shoestrings all the way out and ties off the end to keep them on but it works. I have had them 5 months and they have held up well. They say you should change your shoes every 6 months, especially when you're like me and are on your feet all day and wear the shoes minimum of 5 days a week. I will probably need a new pair by 6 months but these have been good. The pictures are 5 months later. They have held up well as you can see. The sole thickness is one of the reasons they have been so good for me but it has really made them heavy. The only issue is the lack of choices in colors. I highly recommend these shoes. ... show more

  • Better than the Ghost Max 2 if you have wide feet
Size: 10 X-Wide Color: Primer Grey/Ebony
I should mention that I'm 70 yo and no longer run, but do walk which is the primary use for this shoe. Shoe size reviewed is a 10 extra wide or 4W. I used to be a NB person because I have wide feet, but more manufacturers are now offering more models in wide widths. However, what is described as a wide last is not always really wide. My local running store pointed me to Hokas (not wide enough) and then to the Ghost Max 2. I have gone through 2 pairs of Ghost Max 2 and can say that they are really good, but still rub my feet more than I'd like. After seeing a YouTube review saying that the Ghost Max 3 has a new and improved last, I tried it and have to say the review was correct. These shoes are wider where it matters for me, and is more pillowy with better foot stabilization than the Ghost Max 2. If you liked the Ghost Max 2, and even if you didn't but are still in need of a wide shoe, I'd seriously recommend this shoe. 1 star off because the GM2 sole wears down very quickly, however this may not be a problem on the 3 as the sole appears to be made differently. Only time will tell and I'll update the review if the sole wears better. ... show more

  • Like walking on a cloud
Size: 11 Wide Color: Bright White/Tea/Black
A very comfortable shoe that is easy to break in. Plenty of cushioning in the heel and forefoot. Fit was true and the arch support is good. It's hard to beat the quality of Brooks shoes.

  • Ghost Max 3s were recommended and help.
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Black/Black/Ebony
Just received these shoes so my experience is somewhat limited. I have severe neuropathy and haven't had a helluva lot of luck with shoes. I came across a article written by a podiatrist and these are what he recommends to all his patients. I decided "what the hell" and decided to give them a try. So far they are better than anything else I have tried previously. They are very comfortable and provide a great deal of support. The quality is excellent and they are a very good looking shoe. They seem to be very durable and versatile. I purchased the all black color offering because black goes well with everything. The price was very reasonable and less than what one would expect. ... show more
