The Ghost 18’s are so comfortable. I use them as a daily walking shoe. I pronate a bit and need a snug, not too tight, supportive not structured shoe with a comfortable upper and soft, firm (not bouncy) sole. These shoes deliver!! The upper mesh is super breathable, the fit is snug but not tight, and the toe box is on the medium to wide size. Fits like a glove with just the right amount of space. Best darn running shoes I've evern owned. I have multiple problems with my feet, knees and back and these shoes enable me to keep moving. I've tried a lot of shoes, with and without orthotic inserts, but these are awesome without any inserts. I routinely wear them to avoid pain and discomfort. F-IN love these. My first pair was half a size too big. So I returned em through Amazon. Not too bad a process. Was refunded and bought the right size. Use em in the gym and for running 5ks. Buy a half size down is recommended especially if you're buying the wide sizes. But great shoes. A little hefty on the price but if you are after quality, it's a fair trade. Love the color scheme. Sole feels nice and durable and thick. Doesn't feel like they will fall apart immediately like my "No Bull" brand of running shoe. But I will let yall know if these fail too fast. This is my 5th purchase of Brooks Ghost. I have worn Ghost models all the way back to the Ghost 12. I have always found them to be comfortable and relatively light with moderate support and good durability. I have always ordered the same size. 9 1/2 wide because the toe box in regular width is a little too tight for me. This is the first version where I should have ordered the regular width. I find the Ghost 18s to be wider in the toe box than their previous versions. I did not even try the new 18s on until the return window had closed because I had so much experience with this shoe that I didn't think it was necessary. The toe box on the Ghost 18s is quite roomy. Other than that, this shoe remains a good and comfortable option for running and walking. I'll try them on earlier next time. ... show more

Was looking for a shoe to replace my older ones from another manufacturer. After doing a lot of research I found that these were highly rated (although a bit more money than my older ones). I decided to give it a try and am very happy I did. They are lighter weight and the cushioning is very good along with the shoes overall support. I walk about 7-8 miles a day and having comfortable shoes is very important to me. I've heard most athletic shoes only hold up for about 6 months. Will see how these do. Of course at this price point I would hope they hold up a bit longer. ... show more
