I am a woman size 81/2 EX. These shoes are hard to find and often where the Wide is a little too narrow, the XW allows my foot to slide forward which hurts my toes. I ordered the men’s size 7 W and they are the best fitting shoes I have had in a long time. My feet do not slide forward. There is even room for the custom orthotic that I wear. I find the shoes very comfortable with excellent padding. The only issue was once I had put in my orthotic, the shoe strings were too short to double tie the shoes. I resolved this with some longer shoe strings and highly recommend these shoes and will buy again in the future. ... show more

Very good quality shoes, fits my foot nicely and snug without being too tight or loose. The last shoes I had were starting to get too tight and I'd get blisters but I haven't had that issue at all with these and it doesn't feel like I'll have that issue any time soon. The jury is still out on this latest version of the Ghost. I have gone through a couple pairs of Ghosts (starting with 15) a year since 2023. In general they have been excellent shoes in terms of comfort, durability (5-7 miles a day), and fit. This latest version is firmer (in terms of cushioning). Fit is still good and wet traction seems marginally better than previous models. The firmer part is where I am less enthused than I have been in the past. I RARELY write any product reviews, but have been so impressed by these shoes over the last 10 days I had to share. I'm a big guy (3XL Tall Shirts and 13W shoes) and my feet typically kill me after theme park days - we are Disney pass holders, so it's a pretty regular thing. For spring break this year, my family and I booked a 10-day trip to Orlando where we were going to hit all 7 theme parks (4 Disney and 3 Universal) over 7 of those days, and as amazing as that sounds I was dreading walking that much with only a couple rest days. I bought these Brooks ghost 17 shoes Just a couple days before our trip began and had no time to break them in. Finished out theme park week tonight at Epic Universe and 19,000 steps today and my feet feel great... Going back to look at my step daily counter for the week and I've put over 130,000 steps this week and they look and feel phenomenal. The Sole bounce is great and never felt flat so great thickness. The 13 Wide feels great and the wide toe box is perfect so my toes don't get crunched. Felt like I was walking on clouds this whole week while also feeling confident in the stability of the steps while walking, carrying my 6 year old on my shoulders, or pushing a 100 lb loaded stroller all day. Bonus - went through a couple water rides and although I got wet, the shoes felt like there was slip and they dried really fast. 10 / 10 recommend these Brooks.shoes... I've been a fan of the Brooks Ghost shoes since my wife bought me first pair last year. These shoes are great for running any distance and terrain.
