I bought this pair after I returned the same model in blue and they fit perfectly. The first pair I bought had a right shoe that was more narrow than the other shoe and was not comfortable. I am assuming it was a manufacture defect as I have been buying Brooks running shoes now for a few years and have not experienced this defect before. I do not run but walk allot and Brooks are always great at supporting my back and reducing pain. I have walked 10 miles at Disneyland in a previous model (Ghost 14) and would have not been able to do this wearing other brands (Nike, New Balance). There is a reason why pediatrist recommend Brooks, they are built right! If you have never owned a pair because of the price, trust me you will thank yourself for spending the extra money!     • Sasquatch style!
For those of us with big Sasquatch feet it's nice to have a athletic shoe that not only has ample room for my stompers, it also comes in more colors than just the plain old black and white I normally have to choose from. My shoe size is Men's 14 Wide, so when I found this set that looked nice and had good reviews I was ecstatic. The pros. The weave on the inside upper part of the shoe is very strong. I have a bad habit of pointing my toes upward when I run or do cardio, and a lot of my other shoes have had holes rubbed through the top, but I've been working out several times a week in these and haven't noticed any tearing yet. The color lining that goes on the side of the shoes has a block that goes in front of the toes which helps if you need to nudge stuff out of the way with your shoes and it looks cool too. The traction on the bottom is great for gym shoes, it's not rough enough to tear up any surfaces but it has enough dips and patterns to where I've had no issues with slipping on wooden or concrete floors in exercise classes like zumba, fitness boot camp, or HITT. Cons. The part that has the toe has seemed to fade a little bit more than the rest of it, but it's not bad or noticeable enough to warrant me getting a new pair yet. The base is also flared around the entire shoe so it is going to give your feet a bigger profile and you'll have to be careful not to scrape the sides if you put your feet in pedals or are using step boxes when exercising. Conclusion. Big feet can finally have some fun choices in footwear, and with it having color options to choose from, being pretty good material quality, and being comfortable to wear I would say I'm very happy with this purchase and I'll be heading right back here when it's time to get another pair this coming summer. ... show more

I have always been a fan of Brooks. I have probably bought 10 pairs over the years. I've had this shoe for about 4 months now and wear it about 4-5x a week for work, all day, and then run in it about once week. (I'm not a "runner" but I do run as part of an exercise routine.) It has held up well so far with no obvious issues. To be honest, it still feels like a new shoe 4 months later. I typically replace shoes like this about about once/year as that seems to be when they start looking tired and worn and the support starts to break down. My son runs cross country and these are perfect and a perfect fit! He says they are very comfortable and very cushioned! They clean up very easy and nicely! They are well made And perfect for running 3 plus miles! And also very functional !! Highly recommend these shoes

    • Comfortable - Lightweight but Small in Size

I was in search of a good, lightweight walking shoe and my research came up with the Brooks Ghost 16. They popped up multiple times in recommendations. My intent for the shoes is for a a European trip we're making this summer. We'll be doing a great deal of city walking in Barcelona as well as some hiking (Montserrat & Cinque Terre). I ordered the shoe in my normal size, 10 w/ a normal width. After receiving the shoes I slipped them on for my normal evening 2 mile walk. My toes were crammed in the tip and I contemplated just keeping them hoping they would 'stretch' after wearing them. Instead, common sense prevailed and I returned them. As soon as my refund was returned I ordered a 10 1/2. Rec'd them and they fit like a glove (almost). This was my first pair of "Brooks" so I wasn't familiar with size variations. I've never had a shoe or boot in a 10 1/2 in the past. So, recommendation #1, if you're considering purchasing these, order them in a 1/2 size larger than you normally wear. The other issue is that the description boasts a "high arch", which I have. These are not 'high arches', just normal. I ordered a set of "Walk Hero" inserts and inserted them in the shoes and now they fit 100% Great. I could have downgraded my rating to 4-stars but I kept it at 5. These are a great, lightweight, super comfortable walking shoe. I especially love this color (coconut). I recommend these just be wary of the small size as advertised. ... show more
