I have tried a few of Brooks shoes - Launch, Glycerin and Ghost. The Launch were comfortable right out of the gate but they didn't have much in the way of support. the Glycerin were pretty stiff and uncomfortable until they broke in but once they did, they were awesome. It took a longtime to get there. The Ghost seem to be right in between. The were comfortable right from the start with great support like the Glycerin. We'll see if they work out the same...

65 year old man that walks 5 miles per day. I have always just used whatever shoe that would be on sale to walk in. I am now a believer that is not the best way to go. These have been amazing to walk in the 4 days I have used them. I have been able to increase my walking speed by .5 miles per hour and feet feel much better after my walks. Can not speak to durability since only had 4 walks but to this point these Brooks ghost are the best I have ever had for walking Amazing difference.

I'm getting back in shape and needed a new running shoe. After just a couple of jogs and long walks, these seem really good. I had ACL surgery and my knees need a little more padding now, and these shoes seemed to provide it just fine. I haven't tried going more than about 2-3 miles with them yet, but looking forward to seeing how they do.

This was a gamble as I am pretty loyal to the Nike Pegasus, which I love. But after walking in it and wearing it daily to work, I can say this shoe lives up to the hype of its loyal fans. I take walks, not runs, and this shoe feels great. Very comfortable. Not as narrow in the midfoot/waist of the shoe as the Nike Pegasus, however this will allow me to wear a thicker sock in the colder months upcoming. Toe box is roomy and runs true to size. Happy with this Brooks model.

This is my second pair of Ghost 14's, and I use them mostly for walks and runs - not just wearing them around, but exercise. These fit me well and work well with my gait. I was fitted with my first pair of Ghosts at a local running store, which I highly recommend. This is why I am not going to say "oh, these are the best shoes" - these are great shoes for ME but you need to figure out what's good for YOU. However, that same local store was charging over $40 more than Amazon for these shoes so when I wore out the first pair, I opted to replace them here. I'll go buy something else from them to assuage my guilt... Now, one thing I can say is nobody's gonna miss you in these if you go with the green color. The color is intense enough to make a highlighter jealous. They seem to have an inner radiance. I'm pretty happy with this because I am out at dawn and dusk frequently and I find being hit by cars to be inconvenient.

I have shoes varying from 10.5 to 11.5, depending on the manufacturer. So you may need to try a size up with these which I ended up doing since the first pair was too tight. But these are simply amazing. I've never had a shoe with more support and cushioning than this. Walking with these on is NOT anything like walking with any other pair of shoes. So easy on the feet, far less impact even when moving quickly. I'll likely replace the laces with the type that are permanently there without tying, but other than that, there is nothing about this shoe I don't like. Great support, great cushioning, the soles are nicely done and are giving good traction.

My son used this shoes for his cross country. He said they were comfortable and supportive. They held up very well and was light weight. Durability was there but helped keep out water but feet still get damp.
