  • high quality, strange fit
Color: Alloy/Grey/Black Size: 10.5 Wide
so this was the last shoe in my 2 month journey to find walking shoes. I tried: Saucony ride 15w, Asics nimbus? 24, wide & xtra wide, brooks adrenaline gts 22w, new balance 880v12w, nike Pegasus 37, & new balance 1080v12w. all highly rated on so called running sites & YouTubers. im gonna try to cut & paste this on the other shoes reviews. my goal: a lightweight cool temp, wide, neutral, lower heel toe drop, mid cushiony shoe for walking & a little bit of running short distances. I was wearing a new balance industrial shoe then my nike monarchs for the same daily walking running amount. here's my 2 cents: 1. ride 15=surprise favorite shoe of the bunch, never wore saucony before, terrible logo. Reminds me of cheap MacGregor shoes you would get at Walmart in the 80s. Remember them? coolest temp shoe ive ever wore, lightweight & fairly flexible, midsole a little hard for me but people say this is one of the few modern shoes that need a break in period. a little harsh on concrete, but weirdly felt better on gravel. I was prepared to sell my children & leave my wife for these shoes, except after a couple of days around the house, I realized the outer portion of the insole was pressing against my outer big toes & heels. the fit of the shoe was perfect except that. & these were wide in size. if these were available in xtra wide, I would've found my forever shoe. the only extra wide I could find from them were the echelons? that didn't get very good ratings..2. asics nimbus24w=I ended up sending the wide back for xtra wide. narrow shoe similar feel to the pegasus. a foot strangler. not crazy about the gel. I feel it's taxing on your toes after awhile, from repeated squishing into the gel. a little warm but flexible & reasonably lightweight. these was what I ended up keeping. not from shoe design or build, but simply running out of options & risking amazon getting sick of me sending shoes back, & they fit the best out of all of them..3. brooks adrenaline gts22w= 1st impression was they're better made than the others. just a quality feel to them. however, I never could get the shoe to sit right on my feet, different lacing, socks, didn't help. it was too big and too small at the same time..4. nike pegs 37= waaayyy too tight. foot stranglers. cheapest feel of all of them. typical nike feel. the air pocket is a little too hard for light people in my opinion. couldn't find in xtra wide..5. new balance 880v12w & 6. nb 1080v12v= very similar feeling shoes. ive been a fan of nb shoes for decades. mostly work shoes, or kohls 49.95 cheapies. im only 48 & been teased for my dad shoes lol. but damn it nb has always been my go to, no nonsense, affordable, sensible brand. the 1080 is on every runners and walkers list. I basically poured thru YouTube, reddit, amazon reviews, and runners sites & came up with a handful of shoes that were always mentioned in the best category. the 1080 was my 1st shoe ordered assuming they'd be my only shoe. to my abject horror, both the 1080 & 880, had a weird ankle collar material that would repeatedly hit the underside of your ankle with every step. causing a weird numbness/pain. almost like they were hitting a nerve. sent back & got the 880, same thing. huge disappointment. loved everything else about the shoes except the collar thing...so this is the unfortunate end to my shoe shopping. just went with the Asics, hopefully they last. some advice: I think most YouTubers online magazines are getting either free product or payment for positive reviews. & shoes are highly personal. no two feet (not even you're own) are the same. so take what you read with a grain of salt. if possible take it advantage of Amazon's return policy and order two pairs at the same time so you can have a direct comparison. I do find it unfortunate that so many runners out there are convinced their shoes need to be surgically attached to their feet. I've never wore barefoot shoes, but I do think there's something to it and I think we're causing a lot of our own back and feet issues by wearing terrible pointy shoes that are too small/narrow for us. but come in bright and fun colors with name brands we grew up with and attach to social status. And unfortunately, barefoot shoes are not helping the matter by looking like awful bowling shoes, with ridiculous price tags for half the materials and technology in them. Being sold at douche bag stores like REI, and other rich white people hobby stores. ... show more

  • Immediate relief
Color: White/Red/Green Size: 11
So I just received these and took them for a 4 mile run. I have been suffering from plantar fasciitis and my last shoes were more of a fashion style and not the best for longer distance running. I have had good experiences with Brooks in the past and when I researched best shoes for plantar fasciitis these popped up. I figured okay I will give them a shot based on that and the reviews/recommendations, I watched a few “You Tube” reviews also. I got up this morning and laced these these up and immediately I felt relief and ready to go. These are a stable/stiffer show this the “GTS” but they keep you stable and provide the necessary cushion and support needed to keep running with plantar fasciitis, I’m hoping these help get everything back in alignment and fix the plantar fasciitis problem. It is still early but I was so impressed thus far that I wanted to write this review. I will add to this after I get around 50 miles on them or if something drastically changes before that. 50 mile review, so far so good. Plantar fasciitis so much better, and able to put in the miles needed with no pain. The shoe is much stiffer than I am used to but seems to be what I needed. At first it was hard to get used ui now no issues and do not even notice it, I hand noticed my stride snd step have been corrected slightly which it good too. ... show more

  • I hope they never change this shoe
Color: Black/Blue/Orange Size: 11.5
I have used Asics for the past 20 years and been really happy, but the last pair of Gel Kayanos that I got caused a significant amount of pain in the sole of my foot. I started having some foot pain while running before the most recent pair, but this new pair of Kayanos was significantly worse. A friend recommended the Brooks Adrenaline, so I gave them a try. I went for a run to break them in and ended up running for 19 miles. They felt so good. Zero pain at all-- not even the usual/normal pain. I just ran my 200th mile in these shoes and they still feel amazing. I'm considering buying a dozen pairs of these just in case they change them in a future model. ... show more

  • Excellent Quality
Color: Oyster/India Ink/Blue Size: 10
I bought my last Adrenaline two to three years ago and the GTS 22 is much improved. My plastic orthotics fit perfectly. No need to adjust the laces to accommodate a high instep. Very flexible feel right out of the box. I went for a short run and was impressed how light and nimble they were. The toe box fits like a glove. I’m wearing the size 10, D width. The upper is very comfortable, midsole is supportive, and the outsole looks durable. The material that wraps around and surrounds the heel is sturdy and supports perfectly. ... show more

  • I wish I’d gotten these a long time ago
Color: Alloy/Grey/Black Size: 8.5 Narrow
I am flat footed, over pronate a lot, and have narrow feet. These are the most comfortable and supportive shoes I’ve found. My feet no longer turn in when I walk and my ankles aren’t sore after being on my feet all day at the hospital. My feet don’t slide around in them. There is a slight arch in the sole but it is easily replaceable if needed. I saw some reviews complaining about the laces being too short, but I liked not worrying about tripping over them. These are perfect. ... show more

  • Great shoes for running or working out.
Color: Oyster/India Ink/Blue Size: 9.5 Wide
I had a pair of Brooks when I was in college and liked them. I bought these as a tool to help me be healthier now that I'm getting older and looking to be more active. I bought these for running in and the Brooks Adrenaline Walkers for walking. I have wide flat feet and these seem to be doing great so far; I did buy the wide variant. ... show more

  • Great shoe for powerwalking
Color: Oyster/India Ink/Blue Size: 10.5 Wide
My Adrenaline GTS 22 fit perfectly. I am a 10 1/2 wide and I love the fit. I had a pair of Glycerin's before and while they were very comfortable, they didn't offer the support of the Adrenalines. Also, the heel wore away rather quickly. My last pair of Adrenaline's lasted a year, and that's with walking 2 1/2 miles, 6 days a week. I also walk pretty fast in order to elevate my heart rate. The only thing that keeps them from being a perfect 5 star is that the laces are too short to use the last set of holes in a crossover to help the heel. Fortunately, I had longer laces left over from a previous pair. If you use the lace holes as they come, then the laces should be long enough. ... show more
