If you like supportive footwear and don't mind a little heft, look no further, it doesn't get better than this (unless you like leather, then go for the Addiction Walker 2, which is equally excellent and seems a little more durable). This shoe doesn't feel as "fast" as the Ghost (which I've owned too), but if standing and walking is the business, this is the better bet. The only complaint I do have (and why I left a star out) is that the material quality, for a shoe at this price, could be better, and while build quality is great (the Addiction Walker and Ghost, that are flawed the same way (the new Ghost might have nicer materials...), lasted me over a year of hard wear each), nicer feeling materials, like those found in shoes from Hoka and Nike at this price, would be nicer (those two brands don't come close in comfort and durability though). ... show more

these are the best shoe i've put on my feet. ive always been cheap and bought the cheaper box store shoes. these have so much support and cushion. it is like walking on foam all day. i walk a lot at work and on cement. do yourself a favor and buy brooks shoes, you wont be disappointed. Very sad to see this model discontinued. It's incredibly comfortable, has amazing support. I'm a big guy and I need all yhe support i can get and this model never failed me. Stock up while you can as the newer version they have is not nearly as good.

I have been searching for a good walking shoe. This model was recommended for people of my size, 6'5" and 250 lbs. I have been using Hoka Bondi shoes, which I like, but which loosen up after about 200 kilometers, and don't provide as much support. This shoe was described as having better support for large guys. It has much less cushioning than the Bondi, but it is not quite as comfortable out of the box. Time will tell if it holds up. But I think my search for the perfect shoe is not complete. ... show more
