I've been getting a pair of the last year's Ghosts each year now for a few years when they can be found on sale after the new model drops. These are a bit heavier than the previous model, but veryuch more comfortable. The heel collar & tongue are generously cushioned and the material is not as slick as the more meshy 12s & 13s, which helps keep everything snugly in place when worn. Yeah, so, the flat laces... No need to go away from the outstanding semi stretchy oval laces from the older models, but they did. The new strappy flat laces stay cinched, fine, but if I could build a Brooks shoe, I would always opt for the oval laces (esp. the longer, stretchier laces from the 12s). That said, the plush, secure feel around the ankle/upper and outstanding cushion under the footbed¹ more than make up for a different shapes lace. Fair trade. I honestly thought that the 13s were a slight downgrade from the 12s, but that these 14s are a solid upgrade fusing the best from both of those models. These Ghosts are well worth the price. I'd entertain another pair TBH. ¹the cusioning, while a bit heavy, is very, very comfortable underfoot. It is soft but supportive, so there is no fatigue after long hours on foot or walking/running. Unlike Boost which is very soft, a bit overly so, and feels great when you first put them on but as the hours/steps pile up, the fatigue can set in bc the feet are overly cushioned and not adequately supported for physical activity. Also, my seller got me my Ghosts incredibly fast for a non-Prime order. Good on them and a great buy for me. I highly recommend the Brooks Ghost 14s

I got these shoes after running in my standard walking shoes and developing constant pain in the back of my heels. After about two weeks of running in these shoes, the pain from my heel is just a sore spot now. They are supportive and protect the foot from the first impact to the end. I feel like the impact force is spread equally through my foot now versus concentrated on my heel. The shoes also have a heel support in the form of a slight outdent in the back of the shoe where the heel rests comfortably. I have high arches, and these shoes support them very well. I got half a size larger than my normal size shoe just to be safe, and the shoes fit perfectly.

Better than Adidas or Nike sneaks, hands down! Got these for my hubby who has extremely flat feet and stands on them at least eight hours a day. We were worried they'd be too narrow or not supportive enough. He's had joint issues with other brands. He is an active older gentleman and they cradled his flat feet perfectly! This is rare! We've paid a lot more for shoes that are ok, but these were wonderful. Brooks has great style, less flash, and solid materials, that last and lasts! " If you don't know, now you know." I am overweight, but I want to lose weight. Unfortunately, when I go for walks my lower back starts to hurt and I have to stop. I gave these shoes a try since I have gotten Brooks before and also because my wife swears by Ghosts. I'm not using these for running, but for my everyday sneaker. My back feels so much better when I walk around now. I still get some back pain once in a while, but it is greatly reduced. It will increase as the shoes wear, but that just means it is time for a new pair. I have already had these for about two months and constantly wear them. I will be getting a new set soon so they can replace these when necessary. I highly recommend them for walking shoes as well as running. They are a little tight at first, but they loosen as you wear them in. Give it time and they will feel wonderful!

This will be my third pair of the Ghost 14. I originally got them for the gym, but since they’re the most comfortable shoes I have I wear them everywhere- hence the 3 pairs. My feet will waste no time letting me know if they don’t like a pair of shoes. The Brooks Ghost 14 gets 👍 from my feet for everything from the gym to social outings. The fact that the styles are top notch certainly doesn’t hurt either.

These shoes are the real deal...definitely agree with everyone else's 5-star rating. I run about 3 times a week, 10 miles per run, averaging 8-9 miles per hour. Been a die hard New Balance 993 or 990v wearer since I started running years ago. The superb cushioning and support kept me coming back, even though they are more expensive and heavier than other shoes. One of my running partners uses Brooks and convinced me to give the Ghost a try. I was doubtful something so light could provide the same kind of cushioning and support I got from my 993s or 990vs. Boy was I wrong. First, they're noticeable lighter...almost to the point of seeming weightless (probably the reason they named them Ghost). Second, the cushioning and support is superb...just as good as the latest version of the 990v. No shin splints, joint pain, or anything similar. Third, they mesh weave uppers are strong and durable while still being thin to keep my feet cool. Fourth, they're noticeably more "springy" and help push me along. Fifth, I feel less fatigued towards the end of my run and feel like I could easily go another mile or two. The other day I realized I hadn't run in my 990vs since my first run in these shoes. So, I ordered two more pairs to get me through the next 12 months when the Ghost 14s were reduced to 35% of their original price during Black Friday. (I typically retire my shoes around 400-500 miles). I think they're a fantastic value at this price point. I wear an 11 in New Balance and found sizing up a half size to 11.5 in these shoes gave me a near perfect fit.

These are just being used inside so far but when my current pair of outdoor walking shoes retire these will take that place. Good looking, very comfortable and they have all the good characteristics of a good walking shoe. The size was right on. I normally don’t buy shoes on line because each manufacturer and even different models from the same company can be different sizes even though they have the same size designation. I got lucky on these and they were just right. I could see me buying the exact shoe again when these are getting old.
