The installation is for the 2012 Hyundai Elantra. After replacing two bulbs within a year with the proclaimed "Long Life", time to switch to the alternative. Brightness in comparison to the incandescent bulbs, I can't support the "1000 lumens" claim. The brightness is no greater than the 450 lumens the incandescent bulbs are rated at. Just for the fun of it, I also installed it into the center brake light for comparison to the existing incandescent bulb's brightness. Practically the same brightness. However, I'll gladly give the 5 stars for two primary functions: coolness of the bulbs after 5 minutes of usages on the blinker, and the crispness of the light rather than the scattering of the light that could be seen on the incandescent bulbs when looking at the light directly from behind to about 25 degrees off-set to the left and right. It's not entirely legal, but the hyper flashing does assist in telling others I'm changing lanes within 100 to 300 ft. Can't say my blinker fluid is low. Hyper flashing can cause drivers to daze into a hypnotic state, with a minimal retina burnout (a circle of light imprinted in the vision after staring into a light source for too long). ... show more

    • BRIGHT and Good Physical Size
Size: Pack of 4 Color: Brilliant Red
This review is for two sets of Brishine LED lamps. Both the red 1156 and the white 1156. Now first off I can't speak about longevity yet so this review in more initial thought's. Like the headline says BRIGHT and for their size way bright. I put these in my mk5 jetta for all 4 taillights and reverse as well. The white ones work great, a nice crystal white color, and for reverse lights they do the job and then some. The red ones have a nice deep red color and make the taillamps a bright rich red. The design of them with the 6 leds under a lens project light out really good and add the surrounding led's they fill the housing full as well, leading to a full lens of light. As for construction, they are top notch. The base is the correct size and made of a plated metal, the led part is all aluminum and most importantly is secured firmly to the base. Also to the bike owners, is size, they are the length as a incandescent bulb and in a way smaller in diameter, smaller meaning they are the size of the base top to bottom, so unless you have unusually small housings I see no reason why they would not fit. Now I said I can't say about their longevity as I have had them for only a few days, I did do a bench test on them. I took them, and using spare sockets hooked them up a 3 amp power supply and ran them non stop for 10 hours. At the end none failed and the temp was just warm to the touch, so i felt confident on installing them. One last note. I did at first get a flashing "lamp out" light on the cluster, but these are not canbus lamps. VW can be picky, but I do not get hyperflash, though, If I keep getting the lamp out warning I may add resistors to trick the computer. In my case I am going to add some 120 ohm 2 watt ones which at 13.8 volts will add about 1.5 watts. If that is not enough I will just parallel a second one for a 3 watt load, but your mileage may vary. Anyway, I hope this review is of help to those looking to buy these LED lamps. ... show more

These bulbs are awesome! I looked all over Amazon at the 1000 different brands and decided to give this one a try - the form factor seemed great and the specs were what I was looking for. I drive an old 4Runner and the stock reverse lights barely illuminate anything, its pretty dangerous. Man what a difference now and only took about 10 minutes total to replace since it was just plug and play! You can actually see in one of the pictures that the old incandescent bulb got so hot it melted the plastic and now I've got some light leak. While these don't run ice cold (most higher power LEDs don't), they are MUCH cooler than my stock bulbs, so I don't anticipate this being a problem any more. Time to buy the brake and turn signal lights now. Highly recommend these! ... show more

Well packaged in anti static bag. The LED assembly is slightly smaller than it’s 7506/1156/P21W halogen counterpart. So, fitment should not be an issue for most applications. Light is a crisp 6k which floods the area rather well. For my use, the light is plenty bright to allow me to actually see objects even at dawn/ dusk that would otherwise not be visible through my dark tint As my backup camera is installed inside the lift gate looking through the rear tinted glass on my wagon. ... show more

I bought these for my 2010 Mercedes C300. I also bought a pair of white bulbs for the reverse. I installed the the red for my brake lights and got errors, replaced the bulbs with normal bulbs and the errors went away. I returned the red bulbs. Installed the white as reverse lights and got no errors. They work fine, but don’t get yourself hyped about the light output. ... show more

My bike uses a standard 1156 halogen bulb, these are plug and play. The housing makes it kind of weird to get them in but once they're in they work. Please note that if you plan to use these you will need to use either load resistors or relays that are designed for LED bulb use.

Worked great for two times of mowing, about 4 hours. Permits mowing after dusk, and safe driving in complete darkness. However, they don't seem to be able to stand up to the vibration of a riding lawnmower, as both bulbs failed on 3rd use. The mower did spend considerable time riding around in the back of a pickup before third use, but I would think that was less vibration than the mower actually running. ... show more
