These are great. The only downside is that you have to completely disassemble one item in order to build the next. I wish there were either simpler items to build so that you could build several at a time, or a few more pieces to accommodate the image ideas provided. Also, a few extra screws would be nice - there are only just enough so if you lose one, you're in trouble.

Absolutely wonderful! A total success as a gift for my grandson's 4th birthday. I bought this as well as the larger Brio Creative Construction set, having read that hammers were the favorite tool. So the idea was to have 2 hammers (not to mention a cool tool box to put all the tools in) when my grandson is playing with another person. My daughter says he is thrilled with this set and plays with it constantly. I couldn't be happier.

My 3.5 yo boy loves to build and this is a perfect gift for him. I may order the larger set so that he has more tools to work with in addition to this. The box and contents were smaller than I had envisioned.

I bought this for my son and he has loved it so much that most of the pieces are scattered around the house now. I do not recommend for toddlers because of choking hazards.

I bought this hopefully to contain our existing brio set and/or add on to it. This set is far too small to be fun on its own and really only justifyable if you are missing the hammer or wrench from your original set. Furthermore, the tool case holds ONLY what comes in the set and no more (and is too short to hold some pieces from the original BRIO set - MAJOR FAIL). This really is a huge oversight considering the set is unusable solo due to its limited pieces and the ability to store the pieces (some of which are quite small) would have been an enormous help. Creators: It would make much more sense to either enlarge the toolbox to actually fit the length of the long BRIO planks (literally a half inch would suffice) (or even larger, as we have several BRIO sets and those little screws are a serious pain on my vacuum) OR to omit the box entirely and label this set what it is: replacement tools for the original BRIO set.

Nice quality perfect for a 3 year old to play by himself, my 2 year old loves it but because of the age he still need supervision when playing with the small pices.
