Description

Join Brina on an exploration of magical paths like green witchery, kitchen witchcraft, Wicca, and more as she considers the question: Which witch will I be? Brina is a picture book that uses catchy rhymes and engaging illustrations to explore magic and modern witchcraft. This enchanting story will leave children and parents with the magical reminder that finding your path can be a bewitching journey -- even if you aren't sure where you'll end up. Brina is a little witch. She’s yet to find her way. She learns about the ancient craft through art, and earth, and play. “There are many types of witches,” says her mother- rightly so. But Brina doesn’t know which way her witchy heart will go. From debut author-illustrator team Andrea Stein and Cayce Matteoli, this book will become a staple for children being raised in homes practicing Paganism, Wicca, and other earth-based spiritualities. Ages: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 Grade Level: Preschool, Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st grade Read more

A beautiful story crafted with love
Format: Hardcover
The artwork and story is so heart warming. As an artist I am so in awe of the beautiful artwork. Every page is created with such love and creativity. The little details of all the types of witches is heart warming. I loved the crystal healing meditation scene. I can’t wait to pass this story down to my children. It’s so nice to have a pagan children’s book. It’s heart warming and so incredible ! ... show more

Well crafted verse and great illustrations
Format: Kindle
I didnt know much about paganism, but truly believe an open mind is essential to understanding. I read the book aloud to my child (who looks quite similar to the adorable character in the book). She says if there is such a thing as a purple witch, then surely she is it. We enjoyed together the imagery and information within the book and see this as opportunity to talk about what people believe and how there are commonalities in us all. Bravo to the writer for sharing her verses, and for taking us away from the sensationalized caricatures of Hollywood witches. It is a welcome look at basic pagan belief carefully presented for anyone to understand. I hope she continues to share (especially because my little wants to know which path Brina chose!) ... show more

Be-Witching!
Format: Kindle
Beautiful illustrations (the pastels and geometric artwork in Brina's house were so immersive, soothing, and totally on-trend!) adorable, spell-like rhyming! This book was an absolute delight from beginning to end. I hope to some day read this to my little witches. The child in me was not only excited for Brina to begin her own witchy adventure, but it warmed my heart to see a family of happy witches eager to learn and explore. Such a great message, and excellent, uplifting portrayal of the multiple paths to the divine. Five stars!! ... show more

Adorable and informative!!
Format: Kindle
For any with parent hoping to raise a little witchling! I waited for this book on Kickstarter because I thought the premise was amazing. The illustrations are GORGEOUS with tons of symbolism in each page, and easy explanations for concepts children may not understand or haven’t been introduced to just yet. Definitely one to keep on the shelf, and will start great conversations with your littles! My son and daughter were immediately interested to learn more and fell in love with little Brina! ... show more

Very good book!
Format: Kindle
This was such a cute book to introduce your child to crystals, spirit guides, altars, & all things witchy. My son liked it a lot. And we loved her purple hair! A very fun book.

We love Brina!
Format: Kindle
We love Brina! We bought the book before it was even published and were so excited to receive it! The illustrations are beautiful and vivid. It’s easy for my beginning readers and they love the rhyming. I’m so happy this is also available for us to read on the kindle app now so we don’t have to worry about bringing the book on the go with us and risking losing it. We read Brina so often it would be a devastating loss if our book were to go missing. ... show more

So nice to have some representation!
Format: Kindle
We've got books from lots of different points of view/religion/culture in our library, but very few to none that represent the pagan viewpoint! Being pagans ourselves its so lovely to find a book that represents us. It's a nice little book that me and my girls enjoyed immensely! And as far as the ONE bad review - if you HATE pagans (hate being the operative word) then don't buy the book - SIMPLE! For pagan or for people who want to introduce their kids to lots of different cultures and points of view (instead of indoctrinating them to your one an only beliefs) this books is for you! <3 ... show more

Heart eyes mf
Format: Hardcover
When I saw it, I had to have it, and I don't have children. As a child, I was always into witches and the idea of them, but black people lacked representation in that world. We have Rochelle in The Craft. That's all. Eventually we got the Bennett Witches in The Vampire Diaries, but I was an adult at that point. It nice to have this, so that if I ever do have children, they have this precious purple haired representative doing things in a way that they could relate to. ... show more
