I purchased these in black, size 22. They fit much better than expected given my experience with an awkward body shape (somewhere between pear and apple). The sizing is generously comfortable but doesn't require a belt to stay up. The "slimming" feature smooths out my belly without feeling constrictive and the wide waistband does a good job of staying flat when normally waistbands roll on me. My butt looks amazing in these, no sag or diaper booty with a little bit of lift. Very minimal gapping at the waist. The pockets are a bit awkward to get into, but they don't pucker and gap open like side pockets do. They're not deep enough for larger cellphones to fit entirely, but I'm just happy to have pockets I can temporarily stick stuff in to free up my hands for a moment. The length is just a hair on the longer side for me at 5'7, and would be perfect if I wore heels, but I wear flats. These skim the tops of my shoes and rise to just above ankle length when sitting. I do wish the leg opening was a bit narrower, but I'm accustomed to "skinny" cuts and have relatively thin calves for my size. They're still very flattering. The material is a nice matte black and does a good job of resisting pet hair. It's not the most luxe feeling material, but it's thick enough to hide any panty lines or lumps and bumps. I'm definitely thinking about purchasing them in other colors. I wish they had some work-appropriate patterns like a subtle plaid, but I really also appreciate having a selection of basics. ... show more

I ordered the size 20 short in these Briggs New York pull-on pants and I absolutely love them. The fit is great and very comfortable, especially with the pull-on waistband that still looks polished enough for work. Even though I ordered the short length, they are still a bit longer and go past the ankle, so keep that in mind if you’re petite. That said, the overall fit is still really flattering. The fabric has a nice stretch without feeling thin or cheap, and they hold their shape well throughout the day. I also love that they have functional pockets, which is a huge plus. They’re easy to move in and don’t wrinkle easily. Overall, these are a great, comfortable pair of black pants and I’ll definitely be buying them in other colors. ... show more

I’ve been wearing these pants for years and continue to buy them. These are the best fitting and most attractive slacks I have ever worn. The fit is accurate and the short length is perfect for my 5’3” frame. The back pockets come sewn shut and you need to gently tear the stitching in order to use them. I don’t bother anymore though because they’re quite shallow and not really useful. The front pockets are not standard side pockets but are located more in the front under the waistband. The pockets aren’t optimal if you tuck in your shirt as the items in them could look bulky. Personally I never tuck my shirt and find these welt pockets perfect to hold my phone and small items. This pocket style works really well for me but may not be for everyone. I’ve been losing weight and have worn several sizes, all have fit consistently according to the posted size chart. They machine wash and dry just fine, but I don’t use powdered detergent or oxiclean in the wash as they often collect some of it on their surface, requiring them to be wiped down with a damp cloth to remove it. I’ve seen other reviews complaining of white residue after washing. I’ve found that this can be avoided by using only liquid detergent. There is also a non-plus size version of these pants that I’m changing to since I’ve shrunk out of these. These are great pants and I highly recommend them! ... show more

I ordered the tan ones and they fit amazing!! Since the tan fit so nice, I ordered the gray ones (same style/size) and they fit totally different. For one thing, they are way longer (much too long!). They also have a lot of extra material in the hip/thigh area that I don't need (and that the tan ones don't have). Very disappointed that I have to send the gray ones back because they are perfect for business casual office and the pull on waist is amazing! ... show more

These pants are a perfect fit, comfortable, stretchy & looks great for the office. Be aware that the picture for navy is deceptive; they are much darker but a true navy blue color, almost black looking.
