This elastic has been previously used. You can tell it has been stretched out, the edge is uneven, bits of elastic thread has been pulled out and you can even see the lines where a zig zag was previously stitched on it. As a recycled product it should be mentioned in the description.

I ordered this, thinking it would be weeks coming. It was here in 3 days!! Very impressed with the shipper and the product is excellent! I do an over the head elastic mask, so the 3/8" is perfect for me. This is soft, strong and perfect! I have now went and ordered a spool in the 1/4". It says coming in June, but we'll see! I ordered white and was pleasantly surprised when my package arrived 2 weeks early - however the elastic was black not white and wasn’t as good of quality. Really thin and over stretchy. I am afraid it won’t hold up well which is unfortunate as I really need it.

Size: 3/8'' Wide
Braided elastic is good if you want an elastic that doesn't stretch too easily. If you want a looser, easier to stretch elastic, then get knit elastic. I like braided for my waist and knit for my wrists on my dresses. It's personal preference.

This is great for masks, because it's a really loose, stretchy, relaxed elastic. It is not tight and does not have a strong recoil. So, it's not great for making cloth diapers, clothing, or much else. It's also really thing, and when stretched you can see all the holes. I didn't have that problem with just cheap elastic from Walmart before it all was unavailable there because of COVID-19. ... show more

The package came as ordered. The quality is okay, not the quality I was hoping for. This elastic is correct width of 3/8”, but it is thin and twists becoming distorted in the casing. This is very aggravating and inferior by my standards. Too bad I can’t recommend it for other sewists.
